Chapter 2 :"Broken Trust: Facing the Consequences of Dishonesty "part 1

The teacher entered the classroom and began handing out the graded papers to each student. Sofia received her paper and was surprised to see that she had received the highest score, even though she hadn't studied for the exam. She had borrowed the paper from the girl sitting behind her, but upon looking at it, she realized that all her answers were wrong. Nevertheless, she had received the highest marks in the class.

Her friends congratulated her on her success, but secretly they were jealous of her father's wealth, which they believed had influenced her grades. Sofia didn't feel good about her accomplishment that day and went straight to her room to reflect on how she could have scored so well despite having wrong answers. She checked her paper multiple times but couldn't understand how she had managed to get the highest marks.

Deep in thought, Sofia lost track of time and didn't realize that it was already dinnertime. Her father was waiting for her at the table, and he scolded her for her behavior from the previous night. However, Sofia was so preoccupied with her thoughts that she didn't hear a word he said.

After dinner, Sofia went back to her room, and that's when she remembered that she had a math test the next day. Although she had received the highest marks in her other subjects without studying, she knew that she couldn't rely on luck for her math test. However, she decided to scroll through Instagram instead of studying, and before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

In the morning, Sofia woke up feeling determined to do better in her math test. She got ready on time, had a proper breakfast, and arrived at school early. However, when she entered her first period, she was shocked to find that the class teacher was absent. Instead, their math teacher entered and announced that she would be substituting for the first period and would also be conducting a test. Sofia's heart sank as she knew that she was in trouble. She had not prepared for the test, and she was afraid that she would fail.

As the test began, Sofia was filled with dread, but to her surprise, she found that the questions were relatively easy. She completed the test with full confidence, convinced that she would pass with flying colors. However, when the math teacher returned the tests in her own period, Sofia was crestfallen. She had received a big F- on her test, indicating that she had failed.

Confused and upset, Sofia approached the teacher and asked why she had received such a low grade. The teacher looked at her with disappointment and replied in front of the entire class that she was not responsible for Sofia's failure. She reminded her that if she didn't study, she could not expect to get good grades. The teacher then added insult to injury, insinuating that Sofia's father had bribed teachers in the past to secure good grades for her. The entire class fell silent as they heard the teacher's words, and Sofia felt humiliated and angry.

She couldn't believe that her father's actions had caused her to be singled out and ridiculed by her teachers and classmates. She ran out of the classroom and went to the back of the school, where she sat alone, crying in frustration and anger. As she sat there, she wondered if her father's wealth was the reason why she had become so complacent and had not worked hard for her grades.
