"So to summaries, you want to train me so that I can gain a certain amount of strength to change your fate? However for now while I'm still too weak, you want me to change this dimension so as to grow its Creation and Life branches of Aether? While also researching to get rid of some of your body decomposing side effects?" - Syre
"Yes that is pretty much it" - Kukulkan
"Okay, but, in the future I want 3 times in which I can call upon the Devas for their assistance in dealing with a matter, you will be my safety net in case anything goes wrong, however in exchange of this will advance this dimension more than I was originally going to as to quickly provide it with life" - Syre
"Have we reached an accord?" - Kukulkan raised his and ready to seal the deal with a handshake
"Of course" - Syre raised his hand and began to shake his as well
"Good, now repeat after me "I Kukulkan and Syre Leywin both agree to the terms and agreements of our contact, let Aether and the "Will" be present during this contract as to not let the other not fulfill their end of the deal" " - Kukulkan slowly said as Syre repeated after him
"I Kukulkan and Syre Leywin both agree to the terms and agreements of our contact, let Aether and the "Will" be present during this contract as to not let the other not fulfill their end of the deal" Sure repeated, this had caused a lightning and thunder to strike in the background, signifying their contract.
"Let's start shall we not? You'll begin to prepare for training while I get some experimentation done on this world so that I can understand what it's lacking" Syre said standing up preparing to leave the house of the couple, "Ah, before you go, you need to record a message to your brother, the Asura who saved him will send it to him"
"Ah, ok show me where to go" the both of them went into a soundproof room and Kukulkan produced a small orb from a personal pocket dimension and input a small amount of mana into the orb 'You can begin to speak now' a voice transmission was sent into Syre's head who nodded.
"Hello, this is Syre... Your little brother, I'm alive and okay, well okay as a person can be at this point... I just… Make Sur… When... If you do get the chance to talk to Mom or Dad, can you tell them I'm okay? Or, if you're doing what I'm going to do and send them a message through a third party, can you tell them that I'm right next to you or with you? I don't need mom, or dad, worrying about me, the both of them have already got a lot on their plate... I… I lov-... Make sure to keep safe please? Don't start spouting things about how you've already lived a full life, I don't need that, I need you to live a full life, let me be selfish please, and just live for me?… Just don't die…. I don't think I'll be able to handle 2 of my brothers dying... I love you Arthur... No, I mean not "no'' but I do love you, -Syre took a deep inhale to calm his nerves and shouted-, *Groan* *Haaa* I love you big brother!" Multiple times he had hesitated saying what he truly felt, and what he thought of their situation, though at the end he finally said it and began to cry from relief and looked as if a weight had been released from himself. 'Is that it?' Kukulkans voice rang once again in the boy's head, Syre nodded his head in confirmation as Kukulkan stopped the flow of mana into the recording device, opened a portal and sent it towards Sylvia who had just met finished her introductions to Arthur.
"So, what do you wish to train in first?" Kukulkan asked the child, "By the way, seeing as you're a child and there aren't any more houses within the village you'll have to stay with me and my wife for the time being" he quickly said, almost forgetting that crucial detail of the boy's living condition.
"Fine, as for the training, I'm thinking of using long ranged weaponry, I'm going to recreate the most popular weapon during the time period of my world it'll allow for me to engage my enemies with quite a long range and I might be able to modify their designs to allow for weapon to be used as a shooter for spells, as for a secondary type of weapon? Maybe something like strings so that I can control the battlefield better?" Syre replied to Kukulkan.
"What's the weapon you speak of? As for the strings, I'm going to have to introduce you to Anansi then, he's often cooped up while looking at the lower races for entertainment, perhaps showing him your weapon will give him an inclination to teach you" Kukulkan asked in curiosity for the weapon he'd make, his face turned happy at the idea of getting Anansi to do some teaching and training.
"It's called a gun, it uses gunpowder which is a type explosive material which then is contained and pressure is sent to one area the barrel of the gun which fires a bullet, it was very dangerous and had changed the outcome of many wars" Syre replied, purposefully describing a gun in the vaguest detail, he knew that if guns were to be introduced to the world, bloodshed would be inevitable.
"So a long ranged weapon that requires great accuracy and is very dangerous?" Kukulkan summarized, "Well, for the time being your going to have to train with Diana then, she knows how to handle a bow and your weapon seems similar to it enough that you'd gain some benefits of training with one, until you make your weapon you'll be learning with my wife" he smiled
( View Switch, Arthur falling down )
Arthur, who was falling down, began to think of his new life and old one, 'At least this time, I got to be an older brother for my family, I actually saved him. I'm sorry for failing you Nico and Cecilia, but look… I've saved someone' Arthur thought as a sad smile graced his face and the wind rushed his back causing his hair to flow, his back at this moment began to slowly ache as the high speeds hurt him, thought they didn't last long as he reinforced his skin with a thin layer of mana to protect himself 'No... I can't give up now.. They still need me' a rush of pure will ran throughout his body 'Come on think, you're a king god damn it, think… Haha yes, it might not get me uninjured but it'll certainly increase my chances of survival' Arthur thought, he slowly began spreading mana throughout his back, focusing on his back majorly the spine, neck and ribs, his head covering the entirety of the skull, and retreated the mana he had that was protecting him from the harsh winds.
'Fuck that hurts' he thought as blood began to accumulate in his mouth because he bit his lip to hard with gritting down, 'I have to time this perfectly' he slowly began to take in dep breathes -closing his eyes so he could focus more without his eyes constantly being in pain, this had caused him to miss the sight of Syre reaching down to grab him-, his enhanced instinct due 'Knight/Slayer Breathing technique' slowly sent danger single's as he neared the ground.
'50 meters, 30 meters' he opened his eyes ready to activate the breathing technique only to see the falling body of Syre which was to much for his brain to process, '25 meters' he unconsciously thought only for the image of his falling brother to register, just as he was going to scream, his brother disappeared from his freefall, the only existence that remained of him was the fragment of portal that had already begun to close 'Fuck… I' *Haaa* he took a deep breath in as he slowly inched closer and closer to the forest floor '10 meters, 6 mete, Now' he quickly exhaled and inhaled activating the 'Knight/Slayer Breathing Technique' *Bang* his body smacked down into the ground, however he survived, looking up and ignoring the pain of his body he searched the sky for any evidence of his brother only to find the burning pieces of the carriage slowly began to fall towards him, his vision darkened as he slipped unconscious.
*One small nap by Arthur later*
"Cough, Cough" Arthur said, sharp and shooting pains began to emit from his back, even then, he didn't move, his eyes looking towards the sky 'He's safe… at least he's safe, Sigh, at least that's a certain, there definitely was a portal though right now I should focus on my own safety so I help Syre' he thought as he finally began to pick himself from the ground ignoring the pain that came from his back and neck, as he began observing the remnants of burned carriage pieces surrounding him, finding a small knapsack, hunting knife, some relatively good food and some clothes that had their edges burnt, 'This's have to do for now, as for water that'll be easy to gain as I can use the cloths and sticks to gather them during rain or create a small water sack when I come across a river, there has to massive amounts of rain flow or a couple rivers flowing through here as to support the forest of this magnitude'
'"Oh, you've finally awakened?"' a voice sounded within the child's head, Arthur instantly on alert from the experience of the bandits that had happened what seems to be a couple of minutes ago looked around his entire area while his arms and legs got into a stance with the hunting knife ready to face the supposed enemy.
'"Haha, you do not have to worry, I'm not one of those escaped bandit or the one that had caused you and your brother to fall he has already been dealt with by the party you were travelling with, rather I'm the one who had actually saved you and your resources from the burning wreckage that was once your carriage, though I hadn't had to do much to save you, you already had that one figured out didn't you?"' a chuckle rang through his head and began to explain in the same telepathic communication as earlier
"Who are you? Why are you talking to me? And How, I certainly don't see you?" Arthur said out loud hoping that the voice could hear him.
"As for your first question, well you'll find out once you get to my dwelling. For the second question, well I want to get you back to your home, I know how bad it feels to be separated from your family with no way home. And finally, this is a simple mana transmission technique. The second answer had finally shocked some sense back into Arthur as he remembered his family, going sad in the process "Fine Mister, can you send me some directions to your location then?" Arthur asked out loud once again.
'"Isn't it a bit rude to call a lady a "Mister"?, as for the directions, I'll send them right away"' The Lady sent another transmission into his head, as Arthur blushed from embarrassment of calling a lady a "Mister" his mother would be angry if she had heard him. However that blush and thought process were cut off by his vision shifting into a birds eye view that started from his position and swiftly began going through a path that ended near a river which was surrounded by a group of rocks, 'About of days worth of travelling, I better get to there quickly before night breaks, predators and mana beast mostly come out that time' he thought while looking at the sky for a rough time of day, he slowly began to walk towards the location.
*A days worth of travelling done by Arthur, later*
As Arthur finally had reached the destination the voice had sent him, all he saw were a large group of rocks that were stacked upon each other however what put him on edge was the constant danger alarms that his intuition was sending him '"Glad you had made it here safely and before night time came"' a voice rung in his head as he looked around trying to find the location of the voice, giving up he turned to the rocks trying to find an entrance 'She's definitely not the rocks, the intuition isn't getting any stronger as I approach it,' he had previously used the intuition as a radar before during the forest as to avoid the dangerous beasts that were asleep or hunting for prey,as he explored the rocks he found a crevice, as he neared it his intuition began blaring warning him of a dangerous "enemy" '"Go on, enter it, before you do, strengthen yourself with mana and that Breathing Technique you had used during your fall it's quite the steep fall"' he listened to his voice jumped while closing his eyes as to focus, mana surged throughout his body and he used his intuition radar to alert him of the moment he should use the breathing technique, he took a deep breath and exhaled, "Haaa" he activated the technique while deeply inhaling *BANG* he once again slammed onto the ground, reminding him of his fall that had occurred hours ago.
"We finally meet Child", a being that had looked like a monster began speaking, the monster had easily towered over ten meters high, was seated cross-legged, on a crudely carved throne of jagged stone with an arm lazily supporting its head. With petrifying red eyes that gazed down at me, while menacing, carried an oddly tranquil quality. Two massive horns protruded out the sides of her head, arched down and around her skull, curving up to a point near the front, reminding me of something almost akin to a crown. She had a mouth with two fangs peeking out of her lips and while its body was adorned in a sleek black armor that had neither decorations nor embellishments, it still glowed with the quality of a priceless treasure. ( Author note: I couldn't at all figure out a way to describe Sylvia, I copied the novels description again and changed it again )
"What… What are you?" Arthur stammered out as his intuition began blaring at a loud volume almost becoming a real alarm at this point, "What am I? I believe that the humans who once knew of my race called us a variety of names; Gods/Deities, mana beasts, Demons, Monsters, Angels, and more, but what do we call ourselves? I am an Asura, more specifically of the Indrath Clan, or as to put it into the words of humans, I am a dragon and my name is Sylvia" Sylvia introduced herself to the still shocked Arthur, who upon hearing her introduction grew more shocked, she had literally just introduced herself as a dragon A DRAGON.
"However, even if I am a dragon, my current abilities and strength greatly lack compared to my prime and my other kin, so the dimensional portal that I will create will take time, as for food and water there is a small puddle nearby that was created from the leaking river ahead and some roots that grow fruits that you can eat while I finish" Sylvia began speaking again to double shocked Arthur, this put him out of the shocked state and into a depressive state as it would take a while to see his parents once more. Just as she was beginning to walk away and start to talk, a portal formed next to the dragon's face and a Mana Recording Device was ejected from it.
