Grand escape

I broke my fall with the help of magic and landed with a thud. Running towards the garden I place the bracelet in a random place. With a flick of my finger an inventory opened and I removed a pen and paper. Writing a message to Jas, just to spike him up.

'This is revenge for the tricks you pulled today.'

There were two types of magic: primary and secondary. Primary is a special magic only specific people know and can use like snow or electricity and secondary is everyday magic that most people skilled in mana can use like inventory or float. 

I moved fast. As per my calculation it will take Jasper at least fifteen minutes to realize I am gone. So I had to move fast. Slowly I sneaked into the horse barn near the palace. There I found the rider's robe and wore it. I had to hide the ridiculous clothing I was wearing. 

I walked behind the barn while no one was looking and opened a hidden door that connected to the outside forest. I knew about this because of my secret thorough investigation on the palace. The old king had made underground tunnels that connect the whole inside and outside of it. But the records have been burned about it so no one knows about it except Duke Mabuz who had burned it and me. 

The tunnel was dark, with the only light source being the luminescent crystals attached to the wall. They came in two main colors: purple and blue. It looked like stars in the night sky inside, making it seem like we were traveling through space itself. 

Arriving outside I immediately headed to my main house in Mabuz territory. From there I can trick Jas and all and head to a different direction. To reach the house I just have to go through the teleportation gate at the entrance of the city gate. 

As I ran as fast as I could, it took me thirteen minutes to reach the city gate. I gave the man in charge some gold coins and made my way through the portal. 'Bribing is the best way to do something as long as you have money, life becomes the easiest.'

I arrived at the entrance of my territory and took a public carriage to near my manor. I had traveled secretly many times so I got used to ordinary stuff like riding a public carriage.

If I am dead as the ice king and can't go to the frost castle then I would live as the Duke and go to the Mabuz manor. 

I got off and took a detour to the manor. At the back entrance I saw Leo, I went to him and said "Leo take this to the address it has been written to."  I gave him a letter I had written in the carriage to Reed.

He was taken by surprise but when he realized it was me he took the letter, bowed and made his way to do his job. 

'just how I like it.'

I entered the manor and made my way to the hall. I saw Millard, this house personal butler. He saw me while I removed my hood and robe. He bowed "you have returned my lord."

"Yes, I am going to change send Valet Barman to help me change. Oh and if someone comes to find me then tell them I am not here. After they have left, send someone to the Dawbrook Estate or Rainmour Manor."

"Yes sir." 

'It's best when they ask no questions and just do what I say. Huhhh I missed this.' 

I went upstairs and opened my bedroom. Barman entered and brought a new pair of clothes after some time. He placed the clothes on the side table and helped me change. He brought a white liner shirt, on top I wore a brown leather vest combined with tight pants. He brought me a black robe as well.

All people have been trained to be efficient in serving their master and always know what they want. He adjusted my clothing and helped me wear long brown leather boots that matched with the vest. After completing his job, he took two steps back bowed and said "Sir the head butler wants you to eat something before you leave." 

I thought hard for sometime as the thought of eating gave me sudden chills but ended up replying with "Ok get the dinner ready but make it small." 

"As you wish my lord." he exited the room.

I walk down the stairs and somehow they set up a table full of food when it has not been even an hour since I have returned. Millard pulled the main chair out and I took my seat. Even as I was eating they all stood for my next orders.

I placed the fork down and Millard came to me "Need something sir."

"no but I do have a job for you."

"Yes my lord."

I didn't wait for the ceremony and said "Go to Dawbrook graveyard and bring the Grimoire of Origins. It's a very important artifact and has to be brought in proper condition. Once you get the book, send it to the capital city Avala in district 5 store 2. Make sure you leave three days from now." 

The capital city of Avala is the main city in the country of Estya. Other than Avala, The kingdom of Ravial is its center. The capital and kingdom are two separate things. Half of the country is under the Ravial kingdom, that is its north, north-west, north-east and center. Avala is near the center and south-east bordering the Ravial kingdom. while the other remaining side is occupied with waste lands and danger zones.

The Mabuz territory is near the borders of south-west and is connected to all three regions. So now my goal is to reach the South of Avala to the Raging Highland, A danger zone where the werewolf stays and Millard's goal is Dawbrook Graveyard to the west of the Mabuz territory. 

"Yes sir." He bowed.

"Oh and you must find it before the others do. Also ready my horse, I am heading out."

"They are already ready for you sir. I have also asked the maids to pack something for the journey. The bag had money, clothes, light weapons and other necessities."

"Ok then I am heading out." I wiped my mouth with a clean cloth and got up from the chair. 

"Alright sir. I will be just behind you." Millard walked me to the barn and adjusted the saddle. I mounted the horse and took the bag that was prepared for me. 

"Meet you soon." I say before departing for The Raging Highland, where the werewolf resides near the capital city Avala.
