Bon Voyage (II)

And when the crack of dawn comes the ships set sail.

I came out of the inn and walked my way towards the port which was bustling so early in the morning.

'Couldn't sleep a wink because of the plan I have to make before meeting Leia huuu...'

I already had breakfast which was just some tea and light toast in my room.

I was wearing an outfit fit for traveling at sea. The white loose shirt with a silk scarf around the neck gives it a casual but sophisticated look. On top of it was a brown leather corset tied at the front, matching with the high boots.

In contrast was black loose fitted trousers, tucked in the boots, completing the casual look. The clothes were flowy and let the body breathe. My hair was styled in a messy way to accommodate the look.

I walk along the port trying to find the silver crow.

"Kaan!" I turned to the sound and looked over at Captain Clark waving his hand in front of a huge ship.

I walked towards him and said "Good morning mate."

"Good morning to you too mate."

Somehow we had bonded quite well in just a few hours and caught each other's frequency.

"This is Silver Crow, my life and my love." He said, extending his hands towards the ship.

The ship was 300 meters long and had three masts, two tall and one short. The ship was built with oak and cherry wood. It was grand for sure. The name Silver Crow was visible on the right side of the boat. The cabin on the surface was big, setting the standard for the size of the whole ship.

'My knowledge about ships is limited but even I can tell that's some A-one ship.'

I admired the ship as Captain Clark escorted me on aboard. The wood creaked under my foot and the moisture and breeze of the sea filled my lungs.

'It's been long since I set sail.'

The crew were busy preparing for the departure. Doing final checks, loading necessities like beer and food, checking the masts and other things. Suddenly a young man with sandy messy short hair with a blue bandana came to us and said "Captain, Silver Crow is ready to depart."

Captain Clark nodded and introduced the man to me "This is Sandy Seashore the first mate of this ship."

We shook our hands as he smiled cheerfully but his Aqua eyes told me something else.

'Wariness and caution.'

"Sandy, this man is Kaan and will be traveling with us."

"Thank you for having me."

"Now then," he said and then continued as he looked at the crew "let's depart."

"Hai Captain." The crew shouted.

The sails were opened, and the anchors pulled out. The ship with a slow start began its journey towards the vast ocean.

The winds blew and currents past us and we swayed along the ocean with both gentleness and boldness. The weather was perfect and so was my mood today because of this sense of refreshment. But I didn't know that the mood would be turning fowl in some while.

***

It was the next day which started with a mild breakfast and ocean salty breeze. I was just getting used to the moisture and wet climate when things took a great turn.

The smooth sailing came to an end when we had to change the route because of an unexpected shift in weather. Mist started covering the ship and sea, almost making it look like we had arrived above the clouds.

We could barely see in front of us, but the Captain and the first mate as well as the crew handled the situation quite calmly, like they have seen this scene more than a couple of hundred of times.

The ship suddenly came to a stop. The crew ran around frantically, then I heard my name so I turned and Captain Clark came to me and said "You should come in the cabin, we have entered the pirates playground."

I nodded and followed the huge man inside. He let the wheel steer under his control as the deck became clear. The ship sailed slowly in the mist, crossing the sea at ease. It felt like moving through clouds. If someone asks what heaven looked like, I would definitely say it was close to this at the entrance but the rest is something else.

Sandy was instructing one of the crew when he ran inside and looked at the Captain and said in distress "Captain we have spotted five ships, we are assuming they are pirates."

Captain Clark nodded and said "we will shift a little so we do not get spotted."

Sandy nodded and then he heard a sound, he turned and heard the man on the mast say "They have noticed us and are heading this way."

He turned to the Captain but he just looked ahead and said "If we can get past that's fine and if we dont get ready to battle."

Sandy gulped and then shouted almost in a yell "Yes Captain." He ran out probably to prepare for the upcoming exchange.

"Don't worry we are strong."

I just smirked "who said I was worried."

He just snorted and lit a cigar, he offered me some but I refused. He shrugged.

Suddenly five massive ships came to our left side almost wanting to encircle us. Captain Clark with his skill maneuvered the ship so we don't get stuck in the middle. He was frowning slightly but other than that showed a calm face.

He saw Sandy run up to the cabin and when he entered he asked "Who's fleet is that?"

Sandy almost hesitant, while his face crumbled he said "The Raiders of the Fog"

"Ha! those fools really have a knack for always getting in my way." he said with annoyance and continued "they always fight and then bark, bunch of dogs."

'And still they are one of the deadliest pirates.' I thought as I recalled some information that I had read in Leia information books.

He took a big puff of his cigar and then said "bring it on!"
