[Beware the one who desires what is above the heavens]
Adhering to the system's warning, Renji began pondering on what it actually meant. "What is above the heavens? I never imagined the system was fluent in parables." Renji had prior knowledge of systems from the various webnovels he read back in his old world, but not once has he read of a system like this.
"I'll like you to meet someone young bloods." Tunlop said, leading them into one of the houses in the underground bunker.
"You can call us by our names Chief Tunlop, I'm Hinata and he is Renji Storm." Hinata said introducing themselves formally to her client in question.
"Such elegant names for elegant individuals." Upon entering the house, a calm and gentle voice said from within.
"Ah yes. Hinata, Renji, I'd like you to meet my grandson and the successor to the chieftain of the village, Reo." Tunlop smiled radiantly as he introduced his grandson to them.
A man, slightly taller than Renji approached them. Standing at six-foot four inches tall, he was lean yet muscular. His most dominant features included his most alluring brown eyes and lips, his silky black hair and his red kimono which gave him the appearance of a suitable chief.
"I take it you're the ones who took it upon themselves to sacrifice and save our village from this crisis, you are highly welcomed." With a gentle approach, he grabbed Hinata's left hand gently and kissed it. Hinata blushed a bit, she had already taken a liking to him just by his looks alone.
"T-There's no need for the formalities, we appreciate you having us." With a shaky voice, Hinata stammered as she spoke.
"Take some lessons Renji, this is how you treat a lady." She whispered into his ears.
"Give me a break."Shaking his head sideways, Renji sighed as he left their side momentarily as well as the house.
"Pardon me, was he your boyfriend?" Reo asked with concern, following the assumption that Renji was displeased with his actions.
"B-boyfriend!? No way!" She denied him instantly.
"Then why di-"
A slight groan came from behind Reo who rushed over to the progenitor of the sound immediately, a young boy laid on a couch held his right shoulder and began groaning heavily in pain.
"Grandfather we need more painkillers." Reo spoke with worries as he examined the boy's body.
"I'll go get some immediately." Tunlop said, rushing into a room to find more painkillers. Hinata driven by concern approached Reo and the young boy, taking a closer look, she discovered a long and deep cut in the boy's right shoulder.
The wound had been treated enough to stop blood from leaking, but it did not stop the pain that came with the cut. "What happened to him?" She asked, curious to know how he could have gotten such a wound, although it was not hard to guess.
"There's only so much we can survive on down here, on a weekly basis one or two of the villagers volunteers to go up to the surface and harvest some of the crops we planted and also some water. Once the stipulated time arrived I volunteered as well as Raymond, we were all against it but at the same time no one else was willing to go." Reo spoke as he cleaned the wounds of Raymond with a warm towel.
"Then what happened?"
"Eventually both of us ended up going, however we miscalculated. The stipulated time was always decided based on the movement and appearance of the Drakons we thought we had figured out." He added.
Staring into the eyes of Hinata, his expression changed as he remembered the village's greatest mistake. "We were wrong, and as a result of that Raymond was attacked by a Drakon and this was the result. We risked revealing our underground bunker as well as Raymond's life and for that I cannot forgive myself." Reo said with disappointment in his voice.
"Don't blame yourself for this, at least you both are lucky to be alive." Hinata said in an attempt to comfort him. "Now that we're here, we'll put a stop to this." She assured him.
"You have our gratitude." Reo smiled radiantly, his people had finally gotten the hope they once lost.
Right outside the building, Renji laid his back against the wall with his arms folded. He had so much on his mind with one being particularly persistent.
"With that warning its become very obvious I should pay attention to the system. Now then, how did they say it back in those novels? Oh that's right, Status." He said softly.
Instantly, a blue holographic panel materialized in his field of vision with several inscriptions on it.

"So I truly do have magic, wind magic at that. It seems the previous owner of this body had some interesting abilities up his sleeves, what's this?" His eyes caught a specific ability on the status board.
"The infinite perception skill?" He chuckled slightly, realizing the meaning behind it. "Dying by his Ninja Art was worth it after all." He added.
"Currently I have 10 stats point, undoubtedly from the Drakons I took down earlier. Now let's see." After careful consideration, he allocated 3 points into the intelligence stats, 2 into the agility stats, 3 into stamina and 2 more into endurance.
"Thanks to my training in this previous life, my body is honed to the peak when comparing it to people of this world. However I assume magic works with stamina so that's what I need to upgrade." He said with a smile on his face, now it was time to focus on the current issue at hand.
