Dear Easter,
Recently, I feel like we are digging a bigger hole for ourselves. The more I look into this case, the less I understand. Mother wants me to focus on presenting the fake crime to the public, and you to investigate the internal crime.
Honestly, what does she think we are, detectives? I am the crowned prince, the next king of the Northern Kingdom. I don't understand why this case is so important. Sure, Mother may want to save her pride, but would it not kill her to let in more people in on this case? I think the more helping hands, the better.
But, yet again, if more people find out about this case, then rumors would spread. I think we've put ourselves in quite a predicament.
We're frankly running on a schedule right now. The trial will be in twenty days, and we need enough evidence that Elias is guilty. Perhaps I'll forge a letter to somebody.
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, we don't need Elias. We just need somebody. Anybody. Anything to close the case.
If Mother dragged a random commoner and claimed he did it, and you use your tongue to rile the crowd up, the commoner would get executed without a trial. Why didn't we think of that before?
I suppose then we would just need to make sure Elias isn't guilty. Oh well, if he is, I don't care either. As long as the case ends.
How are things going on your end? Have you found what happened?
(Why do we bother with any of this? Who cares what Nico was doing in the black market?)
I'm overworked, but I guess you are too,
Osiris.
Honestly, author-sama /j is getting a little confused too. I need to write a google docs...
