Chapter 4: His and Her Name

In a rundown house that's made of wood, two adorable children are facing each other as they sat in a plain white mattress bed.

"Hey, Allisa"

"Hmm"

"Will you use the name Allisa again? Or you will find a new name?"

"What are you talking about?"

"The Status, It says that we can set our name"

Allisa think for a moment and said

"Since I got reincarnated, I want to start a new life and that means I have to leave Allisa behind and start anew so I will set a new name... My new name will be...hmmm"

Allisa does a thinking pose, her index finger on her cheeks and her eyes close and eyebrow furrowed indicating that she is racking her brain for name ideas. Unfortunately, she couldn't come up with a good name so she said...

"Actually, why don't you name me and I will name you?"

"Hmm, that's a good idea!"

Blaize already has a name in mind for both of them but he can't remember it. Blaize thinks for a good name while keeping in mind Allisa's quality and personality. Then, a certain name surface in his mind.

"How about Riley?"

"Riley?"

"Yeah, Riley means valiant in Latin. It also fits your personality perfectly"

"I see...then, your name will be Wylie!!"

Allisa said proudly, her nose even seems to grow to new heights. However, Blaize has deadpan eyes as she heard what the girl said.

"Did you just rhyme my name with yours?" Blaize said in a monotonous tone and dead eyes.

Allisa, no, Riley on the other hand quickly shook her head and frantically wave her hands in front of her to defend her naming sense.

"No, no, no. The name Wylie means clever and crafty. It fits your image perfectly. Also, I read it somewhere that Wylie also means "resolute protection" in Scottish Origin. You always try to protect me even if I don't need it. Don't you think this name suits you?"

Said Riley trying to protect her naming sense. It's not that bad, right? Fortunately, Blaize seems to be convinced and nods his head.

"It is a good name... " said Blaize and let out an audible sigh when she remember what the name was.

"What's wrong? Don't you like it?"

"No, it's just... I remember the names for myself and yours when I first thought of when I saw (Set your Name)."

"Ohh, really? Let's hear it!"

"It is Kerianna for you and Kaedence for me"

"That's a good name. Isn't Kerianna means Dusky; Dark and Kaeden in Kaedence mean Fighter?"

Wylie nod and added

"Yeah, but Wylie and Riley aren't too bad. We are twins now and our rhyming name sound good"

"Well, why not incorporate it? There is no rule that we can only have one name right?"

"You mean, make your name Kerianna Riley and mine Kaedence Wylie?"

Wylie asks her childhood friend who is now her twin sister. Riley nodded in response.

"We don't have the last name anyway and Wylie and Riley alone sound so plain and lonely without a last name. So having a second name is nice or should I say the first name? Fufu"

"Then, It's set from today onwards you shall be call Kerianna Riley and I shall go by the name Kaedence Wylie"

"Hmmnn" Riley hummed in response

When they finish setting up their new names that they were going to use for the rest of their lives in this world. Blaize, no, Wylie and Riley's stomach rumble indicating their empty stomach. The two of them look at each other and blush in embarrassment.

"I'm hungry. Let's find food" suggest Wylie.

Wylie and Riley go out of the room that they first woke up in for the first time. Once they were out, they were greeted by a corridor. They keep venturing the house until they found the kitchen. Unfortunately, there is nothing there. There is no food, not even a grain of salt. It is just plain empty.

The house has a total of 2 floors. The first floor only has a simple bathroom, 1 bedroom with twin beds, kitchen, dining room, and a living room.

The whole second floor is a library. Unlike the kitchen whose cabinet and shelf was empty, the library shelf was full of books. It was dusty and the shelf even accumulated a spider web because it hasn't been used for who knows how long.

Anyway, back to the hungry little twerps

"Let's hunt Blai—Wylie. Hunt or else we will die in hunger"

"Hmmm, but we don't have a weapon?"

"Ohh right"

Riley who is so pumped about the idea of hunting forgot that they are just weak little kids who have no weapon then Riley brightens up when she remembers something.

"I know!! Let's use magic!"

"Uh-huh... But we don't know how to use magic?"

Riley grin at Wylie and said —

"Then let's learn magic!"

"Huh?"

"There is plenty of books upstairs and I'm sure that some book has information about magic"

With that in mind, they endure the hunger that they felt and went to the second floor to browse information about magics and the world.
