Practicing Alchemy

She directly went to the for alchemy books, but no matter how much she searched, she didn't see any book containing the hunter jade, she searched till it was night, but no matter how many times she go through the book, nothing like hunter jade was seen.

However, she found something else! The ring was linked to the treasury. Well, that is a very very pleasant surprise! She didn't expect that even though her master wasn't meticulous but was very patriotic, he at least do this one thing better.

After that, she went to the book collection area of the treasury and started searching again.

It was only after her mother woke up at midnight that she was dragged to sleep.

The next day.

The first thing Lin Yue do was to meditate the moment she woke up, and by the time she left her room, breakfast was already been cooked by her mother.

"You're awake, Yue'er." She heard her mother:s voice.

"Yeah, good morning Mother." Lin Yue beamed, gaze traveling to the dishes on the table, ranging from vegetables to fish.

She sat and praise her mother for knowing how to cook even though she was a noblewoman.

"Ready to eat?" She heard her mother's voice as the woman sat beside her.

"Yeah..." Lin Yue nodded. Picking up the chopstick and picking a vegetable to her mouth.

The smile on her face stiffened until it completely disappeared, the taste was the saltiest and at the same time the sourest she has ever tasted.

Then holding onto her throat, she put down the chopstick and ran to the toilet.

"What? Is something wrong with the food?" Xie Mingzhu wondered, picking the chopstick and putting the same vegetable in her mouth.

Then her expression worsened as she also ran to the bathroom.

Lin Yue gulped as she stare at the food.

So this is what is referred to as looking good but tasting bad?

"So Mother, what are we going to eat?" She asked, her gaze turning to her mother.

Xie Mingzhu shook her head lightly. "We can only wait until RanRan returned."

"What? Big Sister RanRan is coming back?!" Lin Yue was instantly surprised.

"Yeah, but it may take a while. Well, let's just go on... fruits for now."

"Sure." She nodded and after eating some fresh fruits, Lin Yue went back to the tree branches.

She didn't search for the hunter jade anymore, instead, she look for a level one master beginner pill formula that was relatively simple to act on.

And her sight caught of a pill, 'Blood clotting pill.' The ingredients were also common to find so wasting it on practice wasn't a bad thing.

Lin Yue calmed down her state of mind as she sit in front of the pill furnace. After that, she put out the three ingredients; Ring flower, White mortal herb, and Blood clotting fruit, and inhaling, she started.

She picked up the ring flower, and a bright red fire appeared in her hand and started warming up the ring flower, melting it, however, it hasn't even melted half of it when it suddenly burned the leaf, turning it into ashes.

"What?" Lin Yue extinguished the fire, staring at the ashes on the floor.

Then again, she took another ring flower, make the fire warm it up and she also make sure to even try to lower the temperature of the fire.

Thankfully, this time around, she was able to make it. Of course, she didn't let her guard down and picked up the white mortal herb.

This one require an even lower temperature and after being done with it, she picked up the Blood clotting fruit.

This was the complete opposite of White Mortal as Lin Yue has to keep increasing the temperature of the fire.

After a while, the fruit started melting and Lin Yue knew the last step wasn't going to be easy.

"Fuse!"

Lin Yue slammed on the cover, the liquid started to gather and after two minutes of no reaction, she opens the furnace.

Four black red color pills were laying there, and there was a single line across each of them, showing that they were all level-one pills.

Lin Yue blinked slightly, not knowing if she was better or not.

If only... If only her master was there, he would definitely congratulate or correct her and even point out the area where she got it wrong for her. But now, nobody was there, well, even though her mother was with her, she didn't have a single knowledge about alchemy.

Not far away, Xie Mingzhu in a white dress was sitting on the swing, her back resting on the rope, her eyes staring fixedly at the small figure whose back was hunched in a daze.

A soft sigh escape her parted red lips, biting on her lips, she look up into the white sky.

"You have to get used to this as soon as possible."
