In a blink of an eyes, three weeks passed by and it was time for the competition to take place but to Lin Yue's frustration, she wasn't able to breakthrough to level three. She could only hope that before it will be her turn to battle, she was able to become a level three master cultivator.

The competition takes place in the public training ground. All the members of the Lin family were present and Lin Yue was sure that they exceeded 200 people, without the mention of the guards.

She watched as her master, the family head, Lin Huang stepped on the stage with a smile.

"Good day to you all, I wouldn't waste any of our time since we all know what is going to happened today."

"The names I will call now are expected to come out here."

"Lin Yu, Lin Bolin, Lin Nian and Lin Xie!."

The people clapped as two boys and two girls stepped on the stage.

Lin Huang smile and waved his hand, and a bottle appeared in his hand as his thunderous voice filled the stage again. "Your opponents will be choose through lot picking!."

"Now, come and pick this lots one by one!." He extended the bottle in his hand forward and the children all pick one stick each and he continued. "Now, the two of you that picked lot with 'number one' draw on it should come forward, you will battle with each other first!."

The other two that picked 'number two' retreated from the stage and it remained a boy called Lin Bolin, 11 years old and Lin Nian, a 9 years old girl and both of them were level three cultivators.

"As long your opponent concede defeat, or fainted, you become the winner!. Now, let the battle begin!."

Lin Huang retreated from the stage and the battle commence.

"Thunder Sword!." Lin Bolin shouted and the small sword in his hand suddenly shone brightly and one could see silver light flickered on its blade. He wasn't gentle at all and struck out at Lin Nian, the girl was also prepared as the whip in her hand was surrounded in faint silver color.

She strike out with the whip and it landed right in front of Lin Bolin, a streak of silver lightening landed on the ground and the ground cracked, causing some dust to flew up, successfully stopping Lin Bolin from his advance.

"Thunder Crack!." Lin Nian extended a finger forward, pointing it at the floor, the ground cracked from the point where her hand was to Lin Bolin's feet.

Poor Lin Bolin felt his leg go numb instantly and the numbness reached his hand, making him unable to hold onto the sword properly. But thankfully for him, he himself is a thunder elemental mage, which made his body to be a little resistant to thunder and the numbness in his body went away with half a minute.

"Who do you think will win?." Lin Weidong asked his daughter, Lin Yue who was seating beside him.

"Of course, it is that boy, Lin Bolin!." Lin Yue replied with a smile.

"Continue."

"That girl, Lin Nian's aims was to end the battle as soon as possible so she used all her powerful skills, however, she made a miscalculation and that is the fact that Lin Bolin's body was resistant to thunder than other elemental mages and now that she had almost consume all her spiritual power, she should just wait to be slaughtered!." Lin Yue explained.

"That's good. I am glad you understand that. You should know that before starting a fight, you should calculate carefully first otherwise, one would lose in the end."

On the stage, with fury in his eyes, Lin Bolin roared and struck out with his sword, his fat body running at a great speed to the tired Lin Nian. The girl gritted her teeth as she look at the incoming sword, she opened her mouth, ready to admit her defeat when she suddenly remembered something, she smiled and then used all her remaining qi and stretched forth both her palm, silver spiritual qi burst out of it.

"Thunder barrier!."

The advancing Lin Bolin wasn't able to stop himself and collide against the qi wall. His body became numb and he sneered, patiently waiting for his body to respond again when a whip suddenly landed on his shoulder.

His shoulder felt heavy instantly and the sword in his hand landed on the floor with a thud before he himself get on his knee with a pop!, due to the heaviness in his arms.

Lin Nian's chest heaved up and down as she directed her gaze at Lin Huang, who was sitting in the audience, waiting for him to announce the battle outcome.

Lin Huang stood up and walked up to the stage with a smile.
