When Kyran turned 18, his life turned upside down. The Royal Army raided his clan because his supposedly non-existent magic got exposed. On that fateful night, he was the only one who escaped. Up to the present, the status of his clan was unknown. A magic inheritance that became a curse, Kyran became a fugitive. Always on the run... living in fear when the Royal Army finally captures him. At least that's what most people thought... "I'll definitely save my family. And I will make all those who made my clan suffer pay tenfold. I'll make use of this magic they so feared, and show them what real terror is...." Disclaimer: The cover image isn't mine. I'll replace it when I finished mine.
To be fair, Ames was not as invested in Array as most of her kin. It was not that she found it too complicated or dull; instead, because it was a magic branch that her husband, Zane, excelled in, she decided to focus on excelling in another branch.
In any case, her father's proficiency in Array was also good, and there was also Ducal. So Ames never really thought much about it.
Consequently, she never gave much consideration to Kyran's communication device. It wasn't that she lacked trust in his creation; instead, like many with only a fundamental understanding of Array, when someone claimed that an array formation in some location was beyond comprehension for anyone in this era, she took their word for it without question.
That was why Ames never tried accessing the communication device Kyran gave her.
