I can't help it I am just too Handsome

Linri and Brie walked inside a restaurant. From the looks of the place, it didn't seem too shabby, but it also couldn't be called fancy.

"Are you alone or are you expecting company?" A waiter asked Linri.

"I think we had a reservation but I am not sure. Can you check under the name Linri Harclaw please?" So the waiter looked at the PC in front of him.

"Yes sir, I found one but it says the reservation was for 5 pm" Currently it was 16.24 so they had about half an hour before the appointment time.

"Yeah sorry about that I had time so I figured I might as well come early. Is that gonna be a problem?"

"No sir, it's not. Normally I would have to check if we had a table available, but, as you can see, it's not rush hour yet, so I think it should be alright." After that, the waiter brought them to the backyard and pointed them to a table for 4.

When they sat down Brie was giving him a death glare. She was not saying anything, but the look she was giving him could be considered a deadly weapon. Eventually, Linri couldn't help himself any further and asked her.

"What?"

"Nothing"

"Then why do you look like you want to murder me when I sleep?" Linri asked in a sarcastic manner.

"Who said I wasn't?" Brie's answer though was brutal. Still, he could only blame himself. He knew that she was sensitive about her childish looks, but he still said it was the reason he brought her here. I mean he could probably tell her something else, but he simply couldn't be bothered about it so yeah: this was on him.

"Anyway, you still didn't tell me why exactly we are here. Only that the person we are meeting is a she and might kill you."

"Didn't I? I think I did. You must have not been listening to me back then." Brie had it enough, though. She did not like the fact that she was here without even knowing what was going on.

"My mistake then. Since I am such a bad listener I guess I will leave now. You wouldn't want me here right?"

"Fine. Though let me warn you beforehand: if you know what it is for you will be involved and if you are involved I can't promise you that you will be safe. You might wake up next day and find out that you are a criminal that's being searched nation-wide"

"It can't be that bad right?" Brie asked doubtfully.

"Okay, here is the deal. I want to break into a secret government facility and rescue one of the human experiments inside it. The woman that's about to meet us is one of the researchers inside and she is the mother of the person I want to save. The reason for the meeting is I want her to pass me the floor plans so that I can plan how I am going to enter." Then Linri looked at Brie seriously.

"Okay, if you don't want to tell me you don't have to. I am leaving." Brie looked for a reaction in Linri's face but he was dead serious.

"... You are serious? Oh. My. God. You are serious! Are you crazy?!"

"Answer to both of those questions is yes. You see, Brie, there is saying that my father used a lot when I was younger: 'You should be afraid of the old lion and the wounded wolf. They can do anything because they have nothing left to lose'. In this case, I am the wounded wolf, or am I the wounded wox? Wait, I am getting off tangent here, but the main point is that I am dying, so I have nothing left to lose. I have to do this. Leave if you don't want to get involved." Brie sat there in silence, contemplating.

"Okay. I am staying, but don't tell me you are really planning on breaking into a secured facility all by yourself?"

"Who said I was alone?"

"... Is big sis also involved?"

"No, to be honest, she is too weak to be involved. She doesn't have any powers"

"Then who is involved?"

"Why do you care?"

"Because I am also coming"

"No, you are not"

"Why? I am strong, you said it yourself."

"Then tell me. If push comes to shove, can you guarantee me that you can kill another human being?"

"That... Then how are you going to do it? Have you killed people before?"

"No, but I have an advantage that you don't have"

"What?"

"I am not human."

"... What do you mean?"

"Exactly as it sounds. I have supernatural blood running through my veins. Have you ever heard of Kitsunes?"

"You mean those 9-tailed foxes? Yeah, I heard of it, so what?" Linri looked her as if looking at an idiot.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Then Brie seemed to understand something before she covered her mouth.

"You are one of them? Does that mean you are really old?"

"What? Of course not! I am 15 years old."

"No way! You can't be! After all, you look like... 'this'!" Brie seemed like she was trying to point at something when she was saying the last part.

"Like what?" Linri raised his left eyebrow.

"Like a supermodel. Nobody here would question you if you said them you were 21!"

"That's my bloodline. Haven't you heard? Kitsunes 'bewitch' humans. I can bewitch you if you want." Then Linri gave her a devilish smile. Brie seemed to be mesmerized for a second but immediately composed herself.

"Don't do that again!"

"Don't do what?"

"You know... 'that'!"

"I can't help it. I am just too handsome" When he said that Brie looked at him with contempt.

"Wait, if you are not human how can you be sick?"

"What? Do you think that just because we are not the same we can't have the same problems?" Linri answered with a sneer.

"I didn't, I didn't mean it that way." Brie tried to defend herself. She was visibly panicking.

Linri was joyous inside. It was really easy to bully that girl. He was serious about the part that he was sick, but he was confident that his mom could fix it if he told her. The reason he did not do it yet was because of the fear that if he changed the time when he told her it would affect the future and she wouldn't be able to find the cure. That was the whole reason he did not tell her anything yet. So, in short, he wasn't really as anxious as he let on about his condition.

That was when a woman in short black hair walked into their table. She seemed to be surprised by the people sitting at the table.

"Linri Harclaw?"
