Ch.08 The Mighty Necromancer

"I am the mighty Necromancer!"

I said, "Okay, but what is your name?"

He said, "Do not joke with me boy I am a legend."

I asked Hope "Is he a legend?"

She said, "No, literally no one knows who he is."

I said "Why would you lie Necromancer. She says no one knows who you are."

She said "She is lying. People trembled at my mere mention."

Hope then said, "Don't believe us read up." She then gave him some books.

He then took them and started to read and the more he read the angrier he got and then he started to tear off pages and screamed "No, no, no,! Lifetimes work my legacy. My magic was labelled as a mere branch of sorcery where I am barely a footnote Who is responsible for this vile affront?"

Hope then said, "That is what I am hoping you can help me figure out."

Necromancer then placed his chair back and said "Well, then, I am all ears."

Hope then said "If we want to get to the bottom of this we need to know who is communicating with you"

Necromancer said "No one is communicating with me. My mind is a steel trap."

Hope then said "But you knew to resurrect Dr Saltzman's dead fiancee right after he mentioned her to the dryad. That is why he had questions. It can't be a coincidence. you all are coming after this same thing. Communicating in some way, so someone is controlling your actions, the question is who?"

Necromancer said, "I am no one's lackey." He then stood up and sighed and said "It's less of a voice, more an instinct. I simply know things."

Hope said, "Like you know you're here to retrieve a knife and return it to a place called Malivore."

Necromancer then said, "If I return it, I will be free."

I asked, "Of what?"

He said "The blackness, the void, the empty oblivion."

I asked, "Do you know how to get to Malivore?"

He said, "I know that the knife will lead me to it."

Hope then showed the symbol and the Necromancer was afraid and said "It's the sign of the worst existential nightmare. The ultimate hell."

I asked, "What does it mean?"

He said "That symbol represents what you said happened to me. It means no one remembers you. No one celebrates you. No one mourns you. Loosely translated, it means "permanent death."

I asked, "How did you end up in malivore?"

He said "I was wandering the beaches of Normandy in need of a pick me up so I thought, I would resurrect some GIs to toy with some Nazi's"

Hope said "I'm glad to hear even evil creatures don't like Nazis"

He said "No one likes Nazis. One minute I am dancing with the dead on the sand, and then just blackness."

Hope asked, "and you don't remember who killed you?"

He said "No, although that's not unusual. The subconscious has a way of protecting the mind against the trauma of the dead. I see it all the time in my line of work."

Hope then said "Theoretically that memory still exists. What if we entered your subconscious?"

I said, "You want to perform a head-dive in his brain?"

Necromancer said, "He is right you know."

Hope then took me to a corner and asked "You can perform a head-dive?"

I said, "Yes, amongst many other things, but it's not safe to go inside his head."

She said, "I know the risks but I have to."

I said, "No you don't this is a creature who has lived for centuries his mind is like a fortress."

She asked, "Are you going to help me or not?"

I thought for a bit and said "I will help you if you help is back as well."

She looked at me and said, "What so you need my help with?"

I said "I will need your help in finding someone. If you agree to help me with that I will help you with this." I then offered my hand. She was reluctant but agreed to it.

She said "Okay fine" and shook my hand and then she heard a thing sound and asked, "What was that?"

I said "You have now made a deal with me. I will now help you with this and you will help me find her."

We then entered the cell and I said "Touch him on his shoulders." She did so and I touched one of his hands and just like that she entered the mind of the Necromancer.

(Josie's Pov)

I exited the shower and sat down on my bed.

Lizzie asked, "So how was your Date?"

I said, "It wasn't a date?"

She sighed and said, "You can call it whatever you want Josie just tell me how was it?"

I signed and said "It was fun, first we went to the Apple store to get him a phone and he was so cute, he didn't even know what he was doing. It looked so funny. Then we went shopping for some clothes. We got some similar outfits." then I remembered what he told me and it bummed me out

Lizzie saw that and asked "What happened after that? Did he do something? I swear I will make him pay if he did something?"

I said "No he didn't do anything. We then went to Starbuck to get some coffee and just talked."

She asked, "So did he tell you about any ex-girlfriends or something?"

I sighed and said, "He talked about his dead mom."

She said, "That is still good he is sharing intimate stuff with you."

I said, "No, I also liked that he shared that with me but it was the thing after that he said that's bumming me out."

She asked, "What did he say?"

I sighed and said, "I will tell you but you need to promise you will not talk to anyone about this promise?"

She said "Pinky promise."

I then sighed and explained everything and she said "Oh my god, really you felt that just by sitting next to him?" I nodded and she said, "He did say that he didn't have any control over that, so why not just forget that?"

I said, "I want to... but."

She said "Josie this is a good guy and from what I heard just from you he is an honest person. You should not just wait around Josie or he might be taken from you."

I said, "I know that but his mom just died do you think he wants to be in a relationship right now?"

She said "I never said to be in a relationship now. I am just saying be close to him and when you think that he is ready you ask him out."

I said, "You know what you are right I am not going to let this, bother me."

She then asked, "Do you want to ask Alyssa how was he in bed?"

I said "No Lizzie!" Even though I wanted to know myself.

(In the cell)

I was browsing the internet for any Hayley Hart and I found ton's of people none of which was my Hayley. I then looked for the symbol on their truck.

And found that it was an old insignia used by the witch hunters. Named 'The Knights of Peace' and ironically they were the ones responsible for the vilest acts of the witch hunt. It says that they still operate on some level with some churches but no one knows for sure.

So if this has any merit to it then I might find more in Richmond. She did say that she will be there. Maybe she is.

While I was browsing through I found that Hope was shaking and I asked "Necromancer are you doing this?" but he just had a stupid smile and said nothing and I just looked into his eyes and jumped in.

I found myself in a city that I had never been to before. There was a parade people were celebrating the dead and I walked around the city in search of Miss Hope and I found a Coffin in the middle.

I then opened it and found an endless void and I said "This doesn't look all that pleasing to me."

I then jumped in and I found some stairs and I said "Screw the stair and popped out my wings and flew around the bottom and I could hear someone crying and as I got closer I heard "Dad is that you."

I then landed near Miss Hope and she said "Dad is that you?"

I said, "No Miss Hope it is me, Lucas."

She ran and hugged me and I was confused so I just patted her back and said: "Everything is fine Miss Hope I will get you out of here." She nodded and I carried her in my arms and said "Hold on tight Miss Hope."

She held me close and I flew up with great speed. and we shot out of the Abbys and out of the coffin and I then put Miss Hope down and then snapped my fingers and she and I were out.

She looked at me and said, "Thank you for saving me."

I said, "No problem can't have you trapped inside his mind."

He said, "You ruined all the fun."

I said "Sorry about that."

He then laughed and said, "But no worries I still managed to learn more about Malivore."

He then said "After I left her, I returned to the scene of my death. I saw a shadow. I felt a searing pain. And when I looked down, there was a knife in my heart. and emptiness all around me."

Hope said "The knife?"

He said "The Knife! Interestingly, that which I seek is that which did me in. You've got to understand, to be killed with such trifle of an object... I was curious as to its power, so I jumped out of my subconscious and summoned the spirit of the man who forged the knife in the first place."

Hope asked, "You left me in there on purpose?"

He said "Oh, I had work to do, and you had lessons to learn. From this man, I learned the story of malivore. Created to wipe the scourge of the supernatural off the face of this Earth.

Malivore consumed us, erased us. It was permanent death. And it was in malivore that we were left to perish. Until recently, when the knife started becoming us to bring it home."

Hope asked, "Why a knife?"

He said "Decades ago, Malivore was contained. Three locks were created to seal Malivore shut. The knife is one of them. When all three locks are returned, Malivore is free"

Hope said, "So you left me there so you could talk to a dead knife maker?"

he said "Apologies for that but I needed some time."

She asked, "To talk to some dead guy?"

He smiled and said "That and to retrieve the knife."

I asked "What?"

He sat down and explained "While you were busy helping her get out of my brain. I quickly used the dead to retrieve the knife. And the answer is yes I am stalling you now as well."

Hope asked, "Why?"

He said "I used the deceased bennett witches to transport the knife back to Malivore.

And I will be free and you will be back to your young life.

And as for your father, he watches over you every day." He then looked at me and said "So does your mother. They are both proud of both of you. And coincidentally they did die with love in their hearts and they don't regret anything."

I said, "That was out of the blue, I never asked for that."

He said, "Well she did, and your mother is proud that you are not so fixated on revenge."

I smiled and said, "Well, she thinks wrong as soon I as find her she will regret the day she decided to wrong me and my mother."

he said "Now she does look concerned. Well, that is all up to you. Now what I would like to say to her is that your father won't find peace until you do. So good luck with that. And good luck with your revenge."

And then we heard a rumble and he got up and said "And with that one lock is destroyed and now I am free." He then suddenly vanished.

Hope then asked, "So you need my help in taking revenge?"

I said, "Does it matter you can't back out now Miss Hope." I then started to leave and said "If it is any consolation I would not kill her. I hope you are ready when I ask of you."

I then left the basement and saw that the sun has come up and I said to myself "I will find you and you will pay Hayley."

Hello readers

I hope you liked the chapter. I would like to talk about two scenarios that I have in my mind.

1. Is to turn Hayley into a supernatural and have a very cliche story about a reluctant love-hate kill sort of relationship. In which at some point she will join sides with Malivore and everything in between

2. Is to mind break her and leave her to re-live the worst memories of her life. And someone else takes revenge for her and so on and so forrth.

So just tell me which you like best kind of comment on theses to paragraphs to be clear

And also comment on if the series should have a Harem or not. Please comment on it as well.

I would like it if you guys leave any comments after the chapter. You can give suggestions about the plot, Love interests etc.
