So after leaving the temple Marcus rushed back to the old book store where he made sure he'd put all the books he'd been reading back before heading upstairs. Once upstairs he'd realized that he' just gotten back in time for dinner so with a smile he took his seat before looking at Rebekah and asking, "Rebekah, would you be able to help me with something after dinner."
"I guess." replied Rebekah trying to hide her frustration with him in hopes of not starting an argument at the dinner table. Yet he caught onto it and knowing now what he'd done only made her angry hurt more.
"Thanks. It's a surprise for tomorrow and I can't finish it without your help." replied Marcus with a smile that he hoped told her how sorry he really was.
As for the rest of dinner it went very quick and was oddly quiet. In fact Joy had noticed that many of the recent meals had become really quiet, but she just shrugged her shoulders as Marcus and Rebekah walked off to their room.
