Gratitude

Both Raiden and Toshi turned around to see that the Sheriff opened his eyes. 

It was very likely from those injuries that he would not wake up but to their surprise, his eyes opened up. He tried to get up but he was still injured and couldn't move much.

The sheriff tried looking all around the room, he was confused as to where he was then. His eyes finally caught a glimpse of Raiden and Toshi standing in the room who were surprised by the sudden action of the Sheriff. 

"Who are you?" the Sheriff asked in a low voice.

"We are the ones who saved you from the bar," Raiden said.

The Sheriff again tried to get up on the bed but he felt the pain in his body while attempting it.

"Just lay down on the bed. You are still injured," Toshi suggested.

The sheriff just stayed on the bed and stopped struggling.

"What bar?" He asked in response to Raiden's reply.

"The old bar. Where you were trapped because of the zombies."

"Trapped?"
