Escape

She opened her eyes slowly squinting them as she tried to adjust them to the light . It felt like she had been asleep for a long time but has she tried to stand up She immediately started coughing .

She stood up clinging onto the gate for support , she struggled to gain her bearings .

Just then the gate opened, she reached out for the pipe at her feet pointing it towards the guard and his people.

He walked across from her , gulping down a cup of water .

"You're awake! It feels like forever " , he sneered .

She stare at him in disgust , she was right yet again , she couldn't believe her father trusted him .

"Where are my family " she demanded .

He ignored her question,

He walked closer to her , "Your family ? Do you think the arkadians will approve of a leader who led them to their grave ? Do you think they'll appreciate that ?" He said grinning widely at her .

Trying to act confident she moved closer towards him , placing her hand on his shoulder .

"I did everything I could to protect my people, I might have failed them once but that never going to happen again ever " she said confidently whispering in his ear .

The guard gave a snotty laugh , he knows she can be a little headed , she's not the type to give in easily but his not going to back off not until he gets what he has been hoping for .

"Laughs , save your people? How do you plan to save them when you're at my mercy ?".

"Give me the orb and I'll let your people go ".

"Chuckles , that never going to happen, the orbs the only thing keeping my people safe and the orb does not deserve to be in the hands of a crazy monster like you ".

"You'll have to kill me before you can get the orb ".

He smiled gesturing towards his man to open the curtain that is cloaking the other wall , she saw her friends.

"Gasp ..... No ... my friends,she tried to go over .

The guard man held her captive,

"Let me go you can't do this ", she struggles and tried to free herself from the guards grip .

The guards tightened their grip on her making it difficult for her to move .

She kicked on of the guards causing him to stumble back ,

"Get off me!".

The guard stumble back but quickly regain his footing and grab her again .

She struggles again trying to free herself from the guards' grip . She kicks and thrashes , trying to break free .

But the guards hold her tightly, Making it impossible for her to escape .

She glare at him her heart racing , as she sees her friends In danger .

She's angry at the guard for betraying her people , she's sad that her father's trust was misplaced .

She's determined to protect her people even if it means sacrificing herself .

"Can't believe my father trusted you " she said with a mix of anger and dis believe , her father saved his life and yet he betrayed him .

The arkadians clothed him and ....

"Laughs , you were right. your father trusted me . I'm blood of skywatchers and I'll always be . Your stupidity led you to this " .

She grits her teeth , Angrily she kicked him hard in his groan.

He cried out in pain going down on his knees , holding his groin .

The guards who held her captive punched her really hard in the face ,

Smiling, she spit out blood

"You'll have to kill me before you can get the orb , you this crazy thing " she yelled struggling to free herself from the guards grip .

The guard motioned to his men take her away ,

"Suit yourself, remember you brought this upon yourself.
