The passing

Once upon a time, elemental roamed the land engaged in colloidal battles and slew each0 other. These being as they fell created Huge oceans, mighty mountains and all things that we know exist upon the earth today.

As they fought and fell, their souls went into small pieces of their original bodies, where they reanimated. Each death brought forth changes and resulting in some choosing to go domaint only keeping their remaining element alive.

Other's had to find new vessels to contain their souls when their remaining pieces became to small. They entered into the beginning living creatures such as dinosaurs, whales etc.

Over time disasters and adaptations resulted in blended souls and little to none of their original powers. These titans that created our world faded into near nothingness.

Over time some species appeared that many called demonic or monstrous, vampires, werewolf, elfs, dwarfs, fae, dragons, all part of the elemental bonded species.

Often they were vicious, overbearing and brutal but over time some gained emotions while others were hunted and killed by the species know as man. This became know as the passing of the elementals.

The Beginning of a New Elemental

She was born from a mixture of species that should not have been able to blend with the magic of a mad mage, a demons blood and a insane princes spell from the body of a dead unicorn.

As she was cut from the purists of species they found not a monstrous beast but a tiny female embryo protected within a clear egg shaped barrior. If flew from the princes hand into the air and seemed to disappear.

A dryad that was a defender of the Fern woods heard a small sound coming from the base of her tree and immediately went to confront it. Nothing should have been able to come so close not a single thing in the woods had sent notice.

Surprisingly a small baby lay at the base of her tree cooing to it, and her tree was using its youngest and softest roots to make it some clothing. It looked human but it smell said it was not, when the child touch her tree she could see it was given energy to it.

The dryad Tasica did not know what to do with this thing but as her tree had excepted it how, could she refuse or harm it. She couldn't feed it so it would die, soon anyway.

Tasica was surprised again in the morning to find the baby in her nest sleeping soundly beside her. Strangely it seemed bigger than before.

When it woke the tree placed it on the ground and soon a mother wolf came and laid by its side feeding it. The wolf when finished placed its forehead to the child's and seemed to transfer something into it.

Once again the child fell asleep, so Tasica choose to ignore it and went to check that the woods were safe. By the time she returned she,was shocked to see, that it was about the size of a,three year old human.

Tasica choose,not to sleep that night but the child slept soundly even as the tree feed it sap, and it continued to grow. When morning came it stood up,and swang from the tree like a monkey.

This time a black bear appeared and fed the child then touched its head, once again she felt as it the child absorbed something,from inside the beast but this did not hurt the animal instead it seemed to help it in some way.

This strange system of growing continued and each time the child seemed to gain skills and abilities from the beasts it fed upon or more correctly touched head with.

Tasica decided to give it a name since it was living in her space, so she decided to call her Fern after her forest. She told the child her, name, and the child eyes met hers and she said thanks Tasica.

The dryad was shocked to hear the child speak in her langauge which she had not heard in over a hundred year by another person. Truly amazing Fern looked to be about twelve now and she had pick up her langauge already.

Ferns growth rate started to slow down at this time ans she had started to feed herself and now just waited for various species to come to her. The species varied from as small as a worm to as big as a moose.

Each touch seemed to make the forest calmer, more peaceful and when the mutated beasts started to appear. Tasica went into battle mood calling the larger carnivores for reinforcement if it went into berserk mode.

All the species knew these beings were not natural, and very dangerous to anything confronting it. Fern appeared,like magic in front of the beast and Tasica would have screamed out to her but fear of triggering the animal stayed her voice.

The beast huge size shadowed Ferns small form but it laid down on the ground with a loud moan and licked Ferns small leg. She giggled and then huged it's huge head, then they touched foreheads and the absorbtion began.

This time it took hours to do the transfer and Ferns body grew rapidly as the beasts mutations changed. By the end a bearman stood in perfect form it's pain and madness gone.

Fern and the bearman talked and he gave her a huge bear hug and a glowing metal stone and quickly left back the way he had come. No damage was done and the child was safe, Tasica skilled in wonder at Fern.

Fern held the stone up to the light and it created,a colidascope of colors that flashed across the forest. Fern followed the light to where the colors combined creating a black pinpoint on the ground.

She howled and soon the wolves were digging into the ground at that spot, about seven feet down they found solid rock with just a small crack leading downward.

Several medium sized snakes soon slithered into the crack to explore, soon they were followed by three raccoons. Slowly they returned to the surface with numerous things, sacks and potions, vials and even some kind of materials and lastly a bow,and arrows.

Fern and Tasica gathered the items and returned to their tree. Tasica was confused more then normal so she asked Fern what had happened. " I have been collecting elemental souls that have been blended into these, beast souls which cause them pain."

" My soul has been calling out to them and it tells me what to do to help them and mend me. At first, I didn't understand and my soul was in charge but when I did understand I was confused so stopped the call. However the animals healed have spread the news and that is why the barman came to be healed.

As a reward for his healing which he knew caused me pain he gifted me a finding stone that is worth a fortune because it can find lost treasures. In addition he told me to search for a treasure here that could save my life and warned me that someone was looking for me."
