Chapter 19: Past and future 2
"How many days it had been since she has died, and why there is no one to claim her body," the Doctor said as he look towards the naked body of a woman covered in a white sheet.
"It's has been two weeks, Doctor, and the reasons we also don't know," said a Nurse as she also looks towards the body. She is giving a woman a pitying look in her eyes. It has been never been a case where the body has never been left this long in a morgue as it is always claimed by their loved ones or given to the medical teaching college..but for some reason, this body stayed here two weeks.
Another Nurse came rushing toward the duo who was taking notes of the bodies that are in the morgue.
"Doctor!! there is someone who finally came to claim the body, He said he is her family, and due to certain circumstances he was unable to claim the body." The nurse said as she hurriedly explains to the doctor.
"Hmm... is that so.. Ok if he says so then be it just give him the paperwork and let's be done with it" the Doctor ordered the nurse.
" Yes, doctor it will be done right away," the nurse said as she went towards the man who said to be that woman's family.
" *sigh* Finally there is someone who is coming to claim you. I don't know if he is your family or not but...it seems that you were not alone on your own" mumbled doctor as he also had a fair share of loneliness and also had seen the bodies of the people in his morgue who were never claimed and finally, had to burn it or give to the medical teaching hospitals.

third-person pov;
I can't believe she is not here anymore. I was supposed to protect her keep her safe and sound. she was my responsibility, she was my mate..and she is gone in an instant. Although she couldn't feel our mate bond that strong like I do but she was feeling it. The last time I had a conversation with her was about drinking beer together and finishing our shitty work but I should have stayed with her that day. My heart and my mind are messed right now. I don't know why the Moon goddess is doing this to me, When I first heard about her death I felt my world fall apart I was miles away from her. I had to go to meet those old shitty men due to some conflict having in our society.
Because of those shitty old men, I couldn't see her in her final moments. what I have heard is that she had died in a car accident, where the diver was drunk and I couldn't stay calm and went on a rampaging spree until I was subdued and locked for more than one week.
when I finally calmed down and the elders knew about my situation they let me go. I rushed toward the morgue where she was being kept, I know that she was an orphan but I didn't know that she didn't have any friends and relatives and I learned that nobody came here to claim her it made my heartache for her now I finally known why she is always alone. she never shows her sadness in front of anyone as she always seems to be smiling brighter than the Moon.
Looking at the poor state of her body I couldn't help as my heart cried out for her. I couldn't say a word but I had to muster all my powers in me to say a final goodbye to her.
" My love...sorry for coming late...I hope that we will meet again...if the Moon Goddess gives us a second chance and if there is another life or another world then..let's meet again. Next time I will not let you die like this alone and in a lonely way...I will make you happy and feel loved...My moon.. you will be always and have been mine." I said to her as I slowly kissed her forehead.
