"What brings you here, Yukio? It's not about those two, is it?" His voice carried a note of skepticism.

"Actually, it is," Yukio responded firmly, capturing Maeda's attention. "I made a discovery about Damien…"

Maeda leaned in, intrigued despite himself. "Go on."

"When I found him by the lake, his eyes glowed a crimson red. But after you arrived this afternoon, they turned a deep brown. I found that very interesting…"

Maeda nodded thoughtfully. "I see... That's new for me as well."

"We have no scriptures regarding the devil kinds," Yukio explained, "They were taken by humans after their war with them."

"What kind of scriptures?" Maeda inquired.

"Unlike us, the devils live individually. They are not very communal. If they were, then, it might just be the nobles among them," Yukio explained.

"Every noble family has their own scriptures, containing their background and the legacy their ancestors left."
