Friends!!

Bei Suzy felt nervous for the first time in her life. For the first time ever, she thought so long about the consequences of her speech. Finally, after fighting for a long time with her inner self, she decided to speak up.

"Uhmm, Ms. Bai."

Bai Shihan was a bit startled by the sudden call. They were sizzling barbeques for some time now and it was the first time, Bei Suzy had initiated the conversation.

"Yes." she said.

"Actually, I am your big fan. I have been following your work ever since, I had just started working. I had always wanted to be like you. I even have your picture on my lock screen." she said as she showed her phone as she turned it on.

Bai Shihan was surprised by the sudden revelation. She was astonished to see her picture as Bei Suzy's lock screen image. She felt like Bei Suzy was like a teenager who was admiring her ideal celebrity. But they were almost the same age and weren't people of same age usually competitors.

Bai Shihan managed to suppress her emotional conflict and said, "It is great is you think of me that way. Thank you, I will keep working hard."

Bei Suzy judged her emotions. She explained, "Actually, Ms. Bai, you may feel that it is a bit weird. So, let me be honest. I was in the high school and was short of money to enroll into a good university. At that time, Majesty under your father, Mr. Bai Huan, had organized a talent contest in order to financially support young talents. I won the contest and thus, got the money to get into a good university. So, I was always thankful to him. After that, I came to know about you. You also have respect for talent, similar to your father, which makes me admire you and so, I want to become like you."

Bai Shihan now understood the reason behind Bei Suzy's admiration for her. She thought to herself, 'Papa, you are really great.'

She replied to Bei Suzy, "Thank you for your admiration Ms. Bei. We are almost of the same age. I really like your way of managing things. I too admire your work. I have many people who admire my work and also many, who hate. But I am really short of friends. Would you like to be my friend?"

This time it was Bei Suzy who was stunned. She had never expected that the first time she meets her idol, she would be offered to become friends. She had heard that Bai Shihan had few friends. All of them considered to be the luckiest people by all who knew her.

'Did I save the earth in my previous life? How could I be so lucky?' Bei Suzy thought to herself. She was feeling this happy the third time in her life. The first time was, when she graduated from her dream industry and the second being, when she was appointed as Nie Shufen's assistant.

"Thank you Ms. Bai. It would be my pleasure to befriend you." was all she managed to say within her happiness.

"The pleasure is all mine. By the way, friends never use honorifics to address each other. Right, Suzy?" Bai Shihan smiled.

"You are right, Miss...uh....Shishi." Bei Suzy hesitated.

Bai Shihan read the hesitation in her eyes. "Hey, it's alright. You will get used to it. From now on, you can speak your mind to me freely and I will do the same. You don't need to admire me, rather we should compliment each other for an achievement and even, reprimand each other for the mistakes."

"Alright Shishi. How about we toast to our friendship?" Bei Suzy said as she forwarded a glass of orange juice to Bai Shihan.

"Cheers!! To our friendship!!" They chorused as they lifted their glasses and drank a sip. They were interrupted by Nie Shufen who had been watching them for sometime. He came to them in order to have a little chat. He didn't come earlier as he was trying to think of an excuse to talk.

'Shall I go over with an empty glass with an excuse to refill ? No, she may think, I drink too much.

OR

I can Bei Suzy about some work. No, she would think that I am boring, someone, who always talks about work.'

"I got it." Nie Shufen felt relieved that he finally found an apt excuse to talk to Bai Shihan which won't seem like excuse. Thus, he went over to them and moved closer to Bai Shihan. Bei Suzy who was watching him couldn't help but smile.

Nie Shufen glared at her silently and she immediately, stopped smiling. Then, he turned to Bai Shihan with a smile on his face.

"Ms. Bai "
