Death And Rebirth.

"And, I plan on killing you all." Esther replied. "This is the end of the Mikaelsons."

She smiled.

"Even the little one, right there."

She pointed to the crib.

"Oh, yeah….Mother?" Kol replied, fiercely. "I don't see her."

"There she is." She walked towards the crib and was shocked to find it empty. "Where did she….?"

"Now, I told you, I don't plan on dying." Caroline took out a lighter from her pocket. "Only one Mikaelson dies tonight."

She lit it and dropped it on the floor.

"And, that's you."

The fire spread wildly, with a loud crash pieces of the concrete walls started to fall.

Klaus held Caroline's hand as the flames gathered around them. This was it. She knew fire could kill her. It would kill her. But, she wanted Hope to have a family. One death was better than six. She wanted Hope to have a father. She wanted Klaus to get a chance at redemption. She wanted Klaus to have a chance to live, and just not survive. It didn't matter that she wouldn't live to see it, because she trusted Klaus.

"I guess this is goodbye then." She whispered.

And Klaus stared at her. In a flash he understood.

"Come on!" Elijah saw her face, and understood.. "Let's get out of here." There was still time. They could save her.

Everyone stepped out and Klaus ran back.

"Niklaus!" Elijah yelled.

"I left something behind!" Klaus didn't have his ring.

He ran back to find it.

"NIKLAUS!"

Klaus didn't listen. When he came back Caroline fainted and fell into the fire.

"NO!" He screamed.

Hayley Marshall had just taken a few steps away from the cemetery when she heard the loud crash.

"NOO…." She heard screams.

Screams of the witches who were horrified to see the cemetery in flames. Screams of the witches who were being burned alive. Screams of the people who were watching. Screams of the people who were passing by.

She stood before the glorious fire and waited. Elijah Mikaelson was the first to come out. She smiled. Kol and Rebekah followed. And, then Klaus came outside holding the greying body of her sister.

"NO!" Her screams echoed in the streets the loudest. "NO…."

Klaus Mikaelson took Caroline to the plantation house, because the Mikaelson Compound had been occupied by the vampires. Refusing to believe she was dead. He sat there for almost three hours waiting for her to wake up. Twisting his wedding ring around his finger. He walked out of the room, to check on Hope.

"Come on, love." He whispered. "Wake up, Caroline."

He kept repeating the words. Hoping they would magically bring her back. Hoping she would wake up.

And, she did. The only thing that saved her was the wedding ring. Had Klaus not gone back for the ring, she would have been dead.

She stood at the end of the corridor, watching Klaus holding Hope. She smiled.

"Can you wake up your aunt, littlest wolf?" He said to his daughter. "Huh?"

"She can't." Caroline walked towards them.

He turned around, surprised.

"Because, I am right here." She smiled.

"Caroline!"

Hayley came into the room as she heard her voice. So, did Kol and Rebekah.

"Oh my god!" Hayley ran towards her, "Oh my God...You are…..alive."

"Yes, I am alive." Caroline laughed, as she hugged her.

All the Mikaelsons gathered around her, as Elijah stood at the end of the passageway. Watching them all. His family had changed so much. He couldn't even begin to thank Hayley and Caroline for the change and the light they had brought to the Mikaelson family. Something he had wanted to do for a long time but couldn't.

No one saw the Mikaelsons for nearly a week. And, then, Caroline and Hayley Marshall walked out of the plantation house with the Mikaelson family. They stepped in front of the Mikaelson Compound.

Klaus and Caroline were the first to step inside, they saw several vampires hanging around. With the shades pulled down.

"Hello all…" Caroline smiled as she walked towards the windows.

So did Klaus.

"Now, this is our house, is it not?" Hayley Marshall came in.

"And, I'll tell you…." Elijah strolled in. "You people have till nightfall to clear out."

"We are taking our niece out." Kol Mikaelson was holding Hope.

"And, when we come back." Rebekah came in. "I expect everyone to simply...be gone."

"Right." Klaus said. "And, there is another matter."

He placed a paper on the table.

"This, right here…..is a drawing of how the furniture should be left." He said, "You see….my wife, Caroline….Who burned down the witches cemetery."

Caroline jabbed her elbow in his chest.

He loved to mention that Caroline the witches' cemetery and destroyed their only source of magic for him and his family. He enjoyed the fact that Caroline burned at least seventeen witches, including his mother to save the Mikaelson legacy.

"Likes things a certain way." Klaus continued, placing the paper on the table. "Now, when we get back. I want the house to be set perfectly."

"Is that understood?" Elijah asked the dumb founded vampires.

They nodded.

"Good." Hayley smiled.

"Have a good evening." Caroline pulled the curtains back.

The vampires screeched loudly, jumping into corners.

Kol and Rebekah Mikaelson took Hope out. Elijah and Hayley headed back to the plantation house to pack some of their stuff. And, Caroline and Klaus walked towards the Bayou to have a well-deserved evening by themselves.

That's All Folks!

I hope you guys liked it.
