CHAPTER THREE: BAI MEI AND MIKEY

It was a crimson blood red box wrapped in a rag, he tried to open it but his attempts were in vain, he slid the box into his pocket and turned back to check on Daichi, Daichi was severely injured, and they didn't have a way to exit. If they tried both the front and back exits, they would be arrested immediately.

Toudou sat down near Daichi and started to think about how to get them out without getting caught which was futile because he couldn't think of any method to on how to create an exit, his thoughts was that the light was the exit, and he's the only one that can pass. Despite it being a crazy theory, he was willing to try it, if not for Daichi. He would have tried going out to call for help, but he quickly discarded the thought of not being able to come back. He stayed for another 10 minutes when a man in suit appeared from the back door, he simply walked in and made gestures for Toudou to follow him, seeing Daichi's condition, Toudou didn't hesitate to assist Daichi with his shoulder and followed, They safely went through the door and to his surprise, none of the law enforcement officers batted an eye, it was as if they were invisible. In front of him were fifteen hefty men claded in suits with weapons, standing in front of them was a middle aged man who seems to be their boss, he smiled at them and said,

'I've been ordered to escort you out.'

At first toudou hesitated but considering daichi injuries which needed immediate attention, he followed, the men in suit paved a way between the crowd and toudou was escorted out, outside the crowd were black cars and SUVs, they took daichi to the nearest hospital and dropped toudou at his home. On their way to Toudou's apartment, the man who seemed to be the boss kept smiling at Toudou, which he found strange, plus he never directed them to where he was living, nothing made sense to him and nothing probably will for days to come. Toudou entered his room and lied flat on his bed, he started thinking about how weird the day was, the eierrie feeling he felt when the hand that touched him and he appeared inside Hayasaka Mall instantaneously, the white light, the mysterious box. Although everything felt extremely strange and spooky to Toudou, this is definitely the calm before the storm, it may be later rather than sooner but something strange is definitely going to happen, Toudou thought.

The box, just then toudou remembered the box he found in the mall, he quickly got up to search his pockets but to his dissapointment, it was missing, it seems it fell when he was going through the crowd earlier, he let out a sigh and went to bed.

The next morning he woke up and dressed up for school, although he went to school late and only when he feels like, Toudou was intelligent, so he understood more than those present, plus he's way ahead of their curriculum, still Ms Bai Mei says he needs to catch because their exams is right around the corner.

The bell rang for break and a student entered their class to look for Toudou, feeling bored Toudou decided to go immediately, since that student was in fact sent by Ms Bai Mei.

He entered the staff room and went directly to the counseling office where he was called, he opened the door and saw a 23 year old woman.

She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose. A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth gleamed as she blew gently on her carmine-red fingernails. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, moon shadow-black hair. Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes gazed over the door. She wore vibrant clothes. No man would be able to resist her beauty, even some of the teachers seems to be hitting on her. She removed the dark shades she was wearing and smiled at Toudou then she said. 'Did class bore you again? You came early.' She had a sugary voice and a very calming tone.

Toudou looked at her and replied. 'Yes ma'am.'

'Drop that formally and sit, she said while pointing at the chair in front of her. He sat down comfortably as he would normally if he was with someone like Daichi. She then cleared her throat and started talking about his performance in school, after some time she decided to start a personal conversation. 'I heard what happened to your place of work.'

'Yeah, it was unfortunate.' He gave her a short reply as he normally does.

'So what will you do now?' She asked, trying to extend the conversation.

'I don't know either.'

'Well one minute.' She took out her phone and dailed a number, it rang a few times before it was finally put through. They talked for some minutes before she cut it off. 'Let's meet up after school.' She smiled innocently at Toudou to which he responded by simply nodding then he excused himself and left.

After the last class of the day was over, Toudou was packing his bags when he heard a familiar voice. 'Toudou, i came to get you.'

Everyone looked over to stare at Toudou who seemed confused, their gazes were filled with envy, people suspected this two to be lovebirds because of their strange relationship, he stood up, all eyes were on him as he followed her. They went outside the school and there a black limo was waiting for them, surprised by the car Toudou asked, 'Where are we going?'

Bai Mei let out a very low chuckle as she replied. 'Your new workplace.'

'In a limo?' He asked.

'Just follow me.'

Since it was the Ms Bai Mei, the person he trusted most after Daichi, he went into the limo. As he entered the limo, he saw a middle aged man, he seemed to be in his early thirties. The man was handsome and well built. When the man looked at him, his facial expression changed as he let out a sound out of shock.

'You..it's you.' The man pointed shockingly at Toudou, which Toudou responded by simply adjusting close to Bai Mei. Back and forth, soon she began throwing a side glance at both Toudou and the niddle aged man.

The trip was quiet and akward before Bai Mei broke the silence. 'You two know each other?'

'Of course i know him, he was the genius gamer I was talking about, the one that refused to tell me his name, we met at the arcade sometime ago, I never thought he was your boyfriend.' Bai Mei's face turned pink as she tried to side look Toudou, but Toudou's words changed the mood.

'How do you know Miss Bai Mei?'

This sudden change of mood caused Bai Mei to be dumbstruck. She then replied. 'Sorry for the late introduction, pointing at the man, she said this is Mikey, he's the owner of place you're going to be working.' She then introduced Mikey to Toudou, they exchanged greetings and talked about games for a while until the limo stopped. They got out and entered the gate, it was a very big house, it's so big it can be called a mansion, Mikey lead them through, when they entered the house, the first thing Toudou saw was a very long dinning table filled with children, it seems they just finished eating. Seeing Mikey, they all rushed to greet him, it seems they were very familiar with both Mikey and Bai Mei.

They strolled around the house with the children until Toudou was left alone, he looked at how happy the children were and he kinda felt his mood shift a bit. Just then a hand touched his shoulder which turned out to be mikey. 'What is this place?'

'My orphanage. We keep abandoned children and mentally challenged kids, help them till they grow or getadopted.'

'So what will be doing here exactly?' Toudou asked.

'We need you to teach the children video games, for their own good. Assist them with school stuff, I'm a very busy man but i make time for these kids everyday, it seems i won't be able to do that for a while, i need someone to take my place. Also please do forget our last encounter in the arcade, i was trying to learn how to play these games so i can keep the children entertained, it seems i suck at it but i know for sure you are great at that.' Toudou nodded with a smile, he seems to have agreed to take this new job.

'So what do you think about Bai Mei?' Toudou was shocked by this question and quickly answered.

'I have to go see my friend at the hospital.' Avoiding the question at hand, he left and on his way back home visited daichi, he told him everything about his new job which Daichi envied not just because Mikey offered Toudou a blank check but because he had a serious crush on Bai Mei. Toudou left afterwardsm

When he reached home, he saw his room unlocked, he pushed the door ready to attack at sight, but no one was inside, he entered the room and he saw his room cleaned, and on his bed the box he had lost.
