Chapter 98 Payback

Hokage Building.

The hokage office had an absolute silence as the people in the room stood statue on the spot with eyes closed, the chief of yamanaka clan initiating the mind body transmission jutsu, memories he just witnessed flooding the minds of everyone.

"Lord Second!"

It was a dense forest and a squad of six led by a man with silver hair hid among the trees looking pretty battered from the run, everyone who saw this memory recognized the leader immediately.

"We have been surrounded by completely and judging by their highly skilled tracking abilities they are surely from Kumogakure, the dangerous Kinkaku squad" Said the Second Hokage with a stoic look on his face as his red eyes gazed at the six that sat before him.

"We have no choice someone has to act as a bait for others to escape, that's the only way" At Second Hokage's words, the man with an uchiha emblem on his back and red eyes with three black tomoe spinning in them spoke up and put the only way to safety before everyone.

"Ha!"

After his words there was a long silence as the second hokage let out a barely audible laugh and calmly gazed at the six before him.

"Step forward… don't be afraid Danzo… step forward…

All those who watched the memories heard the inner voice of the handsome man with an x shaped mark on his cheek, his whole body shaking and despite trying his best couldn't say out loud what he was thinking.

"I will lure them away!"

But just as Danzo was hesitating out of fear, the man next to him spoke up and presented himself to be the bait, a bright smile on his face.

The other members of the tobirama squad looked at young sarutobi with gaze full of admiration and respect but Danzo sat devastated on the spot, his hands trembling.

"I don't want to admit it…. But I feel relieved…

The inner voice of Danzo was heard by everyone again as after it the scene changed completely.

"I'll be the darkness of the village Hiruzen, I'll stay in the shadows and for the village go through any length that is required."

They saw Danzo standing before the freshly inaugurated third hokage and taking on the task of doing every dirty thing for the greater good.

The scene's continued to change as they saw him creating an organization which took in little children and forced every emotion out of them, training them to be emotionless killers going through any length at his orders.

They witnessed the killing of old, young, children or anything that threatened the stability of the village even a little.

The scene changed again as in a rocky terrain with dead iwa shinobi lying around the kunai of Danzo donning a black battle gear piercing the heart of a konoha shinobi from the back, on his attire printed the emblem of famous uchiha clan.

"Cough!! Danzo…

Blood leaked out of the mouth of Kagami as with his eyes showing ultimate betrayal, he turned his head with difficulty and gazing at the man holding the kunai stuck in his heart, spoke up with difficulty.

"I need your power kagami but don't worry… they will be used for the good of village!"

Saying that Danzo reached towards his eyes and with blood splashing plucked out both of them one after another.

"Danzo!!!"

Anger and disbelief took over most of the people going through the memories, Fukashi who knew the man danzo killed for his eyes calling out in an enraged tone.

"How far have you gone… even Kagami was…

Sarutobi who had been witnessing everything silently couldn't help but show a look of remorse and regret as what he was witnessing was something he didn't expect even if it was Danzo; he now regretted giving so much power to Danzo.

Danzo gradually putting everything on the line; even the village for power was seen through his memories by everyone, experimenting on people in an attempt to control the power of first hokage.

The beating of Danzo by the hands of Han the five tails jinchuriki in the recent war was witnessed by everyone as well, which turned out to something that completely removed every bottom line of Danzo.

Him experimenting on the pure members of senju clan in the village and what he did after caused everyone going through his memories to snap, sakumo, Hyuga Nagito, the yamanaka clan chief showing extreme anger, Sarutobi still on the spot as well.

Facing his most trusted root subordinates gathered in the room, Danzo made them aware of their duties as everyone nodded and showed willingness to act on his orders.

The memories finally came to an end as everyone's senses returned and all of them focused on the armless man on his knees at the center of the room.

"Glin!"

Chakra burst out of Fukashi the head of Uchiha Clan as with a mad look on his face he rushed towards Danzo, but he was still a little slower as a blade gleamed in the office.

Thwack

The Kusanagi sword sliced through the neck of the fainted Danzo as blood splashed and his head rolled around on the floor, silence in the hall.

Clink

Flicking off the blood on his sword Kazuki fixed it on his back again and with a stoic look on his face turned around to walk towards the door, leaving the office and not a single person angry at him for his actions, Sarutobi looking at the head of Danzo with a sad look on his face.

Tap!

Stepping out of the hokage building, Kazuki was immediately exposed to the rain but without caring about it he lifted his head to gaze at the stone faces above, his eyes stopping on the second and his lips parting.

"I have corrected one of the mistakes you made in your life today, consider this a payback for your power"

Swish!

Saying that, Kazuki turned around and made a hand sign to disappear from the spot and appearing next to a bandaged blonde woman sleeping peacefully at the hospital.
