Truth

"Something is wrong." The cauldron whispered telepathically. "What do you mean?" Red asked. "Senior Flame Tribulation has changed. Something is wrong with her behavior, she has an evil aura about her now."

Red was cursing this cauldron inwardly. "So you waited till we were all frozen in place by her till you open your mouth?" The cauldron got offended and shut up. Red was sweating now. How does he end up in situations where his life is in danger?

Senior Flame Tribulation made a few hand movements and took out a glass bottle which had a drop of blood. She then took the drop of blood onto her index finger and then the energy of heavens started funneling into the blood drop. However, Red, who was conversing with the cauldron through his minds suddenly felt his heart tremble and throb as if he was being pulled towards the heavily injured Senior at the center of the circle. He saw the blood drop which was calling him and eyes eyes bulged. The color of the blood drop was blue.

The energy from the heaven's funneled into the blood drop and it began glowing brightly. Then beams of light touched the foreheads of each individual in the circle like radii. Each person who was hit by the ray glowed for a moment before they dimmed. The drop of blue blood suddenly began burning and disappeared. The Senior Flame Tribulation then tapped her fingers on the throne's armrest, while everyone else remained sealed in place.

"How curious. To think another Asura managed to sneak in this time." She said with a smirk. Red, who heard that wondered if she saw the traits of an Asura art on his body, but then another woman suddenly spoke out. "Another Asura? This time?"

It was a woman on the opposite end of Red on the circle, a woman he didn't know. The woman suddenly changed form and actually became an Asura with her mask on. Senior Flame Tribulation's throne rotated and turned towards the Asura. She acted as if she hadn't heard the words of that Asura at all.

"An Asura, so be it." Then she looked up to the sky. "A millenium ago, I tried to ascend to become God. I failed. To think I found not one, but two individuals with such potential." She said as her throne turned towards Lana. "Your body is perfect. It is unfortunate that your mind is sealed. It just puzzles me why a Supreme Beast would do this." The senior said as she shook her head.

"My... mind is sealed? Supreme Beast? What do you mean? Lana asked, stunned. However, the Senior simply ignored her and turned towards Red. "I am indeed not lacking in luck. As a descendant of the Blood Legion, you can even be considered my distant relative. You will be perfect."

When the cauldron heard those words, it whispered some things into Red's mind. Red was bewildered when he heard that and immediately spoke up. "Senior Flame Tribulation was born in this millennium. How could you have attempted to ascend then?"

The Senior looked at Red with surprise. "Oh? So you know about this host of mine? This Senior Flame Tribulation's body became a house for my mind a long time ago. It is truly unfortunate that this woman was incompatible and her body decayed before I could try ascending again." The Senior then smiled cruelly and snapped her fingers and Red blanked out.

When Red opened his eyes, he found himself on an altar in the center of the circle. Lana and the Asura and all the others were still frozen in place

At this point everyone had realized that this person had not brought them here for an inheritance, but tested them for compatibility to become its new host. They were now in a bind, for they were sure that the senior would kill them all after they had completed transfering themselves into the body of this clown. Lana on the other hand looked stunned from the words the Senior had told her.

Red was laid on the altar and couldn't move at all. He mentally communicated with the cauldron. "Divine Pot, looks like your old mistress was killed by who ever is occupying her body right now. Help me escape." The cauldron, however, sounded like it was sobbing. "To think that the mistress was killed by that thing!"

Red was exasperated. "Pot, mourn later. Right now tell me if you have any way I can escape this predicament!" The cauldron send emotions saying it did not know any way to deal with this situation.

The Senior's throne had swiveled around the altar , performing powerful incantations with her hands at a breath taking speed. However, her body was constantly deteriorating as a result. "This body cannot last any longer. Mental Transference Divine Sacrifice!"

With a final incantation, the body of the Senior Flame Tribulation began exploding into flames and the observers who had been frozen into place suddenly began aging rapidly. However, a shield suddenly appeared on Lana and the Asura and rendered the process ineffective on the two of them. Yet the others were rapidly aging and their bodies deteriorating with shrill screams and horror filled voices. Many of them had defensive artifacts from their seniors that activated to protect them, but they had shattered immediately rendering them defenseless from this mystical magic. As the people aged rapidly, the flames on Senior Flame Tribulation grew brighter and a ray of laser like intensity beamed from her blazing forehead onto Red's, forming a kind of mental tether.

Finally the people died with shrill screams and their bodies disintegrated into dust, while the Asura and Lana looked on with horror. From within Senior Flame Tribulation's forehead, the astral projection of a decrepit old man came out and walked along the tether towards Red's forehead. He stopped for a moment and looked at Lana and the Asura with anger in his eyes. "I miscalculated the effort your seniors put to protect you two. The ceremony may not have completed, but this much strength is enough to take over this clown!"

The astral projection of the old man rushed into Red's head.
