STEFAN POV :
My brother had been distant since he started dating Elena, I was tired of winning her back. Every time
I tried , I kept picturing her leaving me or...
killing me to be with Damon.
The images of my dead body, on the floor kept replaying in my mind. I had to make it stop.
I called Caroline, "hey Stefan, what's up?" She was such a happy person.
"Nothing much, trying to get away from Damon" I explained to her what I was feeling and how I was struggling to maintain a purpose without being with Elena.
"Why don't we meet up at the park and go for a walk. It always helps" maybe Caroline was right maybe a walk to clear my mind was best right now.
We met up and she brought coffee, it gave her an energy boost , me not so much.
"I was hoping for a long love life that lasted forever , but instead my brother took the girl of my dreams"
" Yea he did , but Stefan life doesn't stop there. There's more girls out there who's going to love you and your sexy dead man stare"
I chuckled at what she said , I did look half dead since the break up and i definitely needed to step my game back up.
" I think it's best if I got out of town for a couple days" I told her as we made our way around the trail.
"Where would you go?" She looked towards me and led us towards a park bench.
"New Orleans. I have a couple friends there and it will be great for a reset, I promise. No death threats or evil beings looking to kill me."
She looked at me with worry, she gave me a hug.
"I understand your thousands of years old but you still need a good friend while you're going thru this. I'm coming with you"
"No No..Caroline, thanks but you don't have to"
"But I want to, just let me go with you" she said and leaned her head on my shoulder.
"It'll be like I'm not even there" she grinned and I smirked knowing how Caroline acted with road trips out of town.
"Alright, but no car games" she leaned over so I can see her fake an expression of pleading, " Alright alright, only two"
"Yesss!" She did a little dance, I just stared at her.
"What?" She said continuing dancing.
"Nothing" I chuckled.
