The Plan
Gabriel stared down at his phone for several minutes attempting to will Megan to call him back or hell even a text would suffice. Nothing came through and after swiping at his phone for a solid five minutes Gabriel accepted that his wife did not want to speak to him right now. Gabriel sighed; he should have found a better way to explain his misgivings about the claim to her. Despite hating that Megan had run from him he felt that he had pushed her into it.
Megan was trying to deal with all this new information that frankly she wasn't supposed to have as a human. How could he have expected any other outcome when she was faced with an immortal husband that claimed to have a soulmate but was unwilling to claim her as that person? That was an impossible situation to be in and he wouldn't want it if he were in her shoes. Megan was trying to protect herself but ultimately it was putting her in more danger.
