Forgiveness

Megan watched the two men for a moment before she stood. Gabriel looked up at her, seemingly still far away. Megan put her hand to her hip and expected the pain which made it seem not so bad. She felt the hilt of her sword in her hand.

"I didn't sleep well because I was in the realm of the Regata's, their secret place. They wanted me to show you this Gabriel." Megan pulled her sword from the sheath startling Gabriel and Afton. Megan laid the sword on the table in front of her husband.

Gabriel stared at Megan in shock for a moment then looked down at the sword, his eyes widening further.

"It's a perfect match, Gabe." Afton told his friend.

"The Regata's told me that a Regata's sword always matches her soulmate's though it is generally smaller." Megan said a small smile playing on her lips as Gabriel took in the confirmation that he had wanted so badly.
