A Note and A Closed Door

Five days later…

Gabriel woke to the feeling of a hand on his forehead and one on his wrist. He grabbed the arm of the person holding his wrist causing a surprised gasp to escape the person. He focused hazy eyes on the person barely able to make out that it was brother Shelton. Gabriel released the monk and began rubbing his eyes. His mouth and throat felt exceptionally dry, and he rasped out a request for water.

He was handed a glass that he greedily drank half of while sitting up. Gabriel swung his legs out of the bed surprised to see them bare. He reached beside him for pants, but none was there. He could make out that it was only brother Shelton in the room, so Gabriel attempted to rise to grab pants for himself but was overcome with dizziness.

"Woah Gabriel, you have been asleep for days. You are weak and dehydrated take it slow. What do you need?" Brother Shelton asked his friend.
