That was all she had wanted to say. Her eyes went to the clock. Cordelia never was aware of the time.

Lumielle was.

Lumielle stood up, bowing, sweepingly low, "Thank you for your time." 

She was excusing her Aunt; "Leo, see her out." The guard made a move but Cordelia laughed. She didn't seem as though she wanted to move. 

The silence filled the air. 

Cordelia stalked closer to her, her eyes gleaming and in a second, a handprint kissed Lumielle's cheek. It stung, and the reddened sharp pain made her eyes water but the purple-haired girl didn't even flinch. This was the second time she had gotten struck. Did her family members wish for her to exist with a bruise on her face? She didn't fully understand why they felt the urge to imprint themselves onto her skin. 

It didn't hurt that much. In an instant, she reacted.
