The bustling cafeteria of the Black Rose Academy, where students and staff gather for lunch. Valeron searches for an empty seat but gets sidetracked by an intriguing conversation.

As Valeron scanned the cafeteria for an available spot to sit and enjoy his meal, his keen ears picked up on a heated exchange not far away. Two second-year students, easily recognizable by the sashes adorning their uniforms, appeared to be confronting a smaller, more unassuming boy. Curiosity piqued, Valeron decided to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Brian, one of the second-year students, pointed an accusatory finger at the boy, Edward, and spoke with a tone of irritation. "Hey, Edward, I thought I told you to inform your lowly family that you had no interest in Elise, so they'd call off the betrothal."
