Nadia smiled. "Then I will look for you to run away from here. Can you do that?"

I took a deep breath, showing my genuinely disappointed face. "You know, I almost regret having thrown away the chance to run away with you," I said earnestly. "You will return to BtP and be out of my reach. Then many men will pursue you. Then you will forget me. Oh, my heart truly aches."

Nadia laughed heartily. "Well, after getting my power back, I started thinking there are many men far better than you."

I tried to put on an angry face and stared at her.

"So, when will you become a BtP member?" Nadia asked me.

I focused my gaze back on the road. "Perhaps in about a year, and Michelle might recommend me to the division head in Luminescia."

"I'll wait," Nadia said, looking down.
