Port Base Expansion
With the arrival of the new refugees, the progress of the Port Base expansion was prioritized and they even started looking for more areas to expand towards.
First, more farmland and other resource generating areas had to be made, so they expanded into the forest areas and the suburb areas for that. Of course, they would not cut down most of the forests. Rather, they would be using a lot of vertical farming in these areas for sustainability.
They also expanded towards a small factory area nearby. It wasn't much of an industrial zone, but it was enough to serve the population and more. These factories would be converted to making various basic items like crackers, instant noodles, jerkies, and the like.
There were also plans for future expansion such as clothing factories and the like, though that'd have to wait until they got enough cotton or flax.
