Could This Really Happen?

"Father, how is Mr. Jamal doing, is he okay?" asked Gabriela.

"Mr. Jamal still has to undergo some treatment because there are several wounds that need to be treated and stitched up, maybe soon Mr. Jamal will be moved to the ward."

"Then the driver?"

Gabriela's father's forehead wrinkled finely, "Driver? According to the police statement at the scene of the incident, Mr. Jamal who was sitting in the driver's seat, means Mr. Jamal was driving the car."

"Then why not Mr. Dimas? You know that Aris's driver at the office is Mr. Dimas?"

"It's unusual for Aris not to order Mr. Dimas to accompany him, why did Mr. Jamal accompany him. It's very strange."

"We can deal with this problem later if Aris' condition has been declared fine by the doctor. And we also have to wait until Aris and Mr. Jamal wake up first and then we ask them about the chronology of the accident." Briel as Gabriela's older brother spoke up.

Gabriela looked at Briel's face, "Maybe someone sabotaged the car that Aris and Mr. Jamal were traveling in?"

Briel shrugged his shoulders quickly, "For that I don't know yet but we can't issue unfounded statements. We have to collect evidence that it's true that someone sabotaged Aris' car."

Gabriela got a hug from her older brother, "You have to be strong, I believe Aris will be fine. You are a strong woman, so don't cry, okey?" Briel rubbed his little sister's narrow back a few times to calm her now messy little sister's feelings.

How could it not be, after her husband was reported to have had an accident, until now Gabriela has not heard any news about her husband other than Aris who was declared in a coma and immediately rushed to the ICU.

"Has Mr. Jamal's family been notified?"

"Yes, and they're on their way here. You don't need to worry, dad has paid for all of Mr. Jamal's care while he's in this hospital."

"B-but who do you think sabotaged Aris's car?"

Briel shook his head, "I don't know, but I and Dad will try to find out. Never mind La, you don't need to think about this problem. You just focus on treating Aris and don't think about other things first."

The woman nodded her head, "Okay."

"I'm proud of you, La. You don't cry and stay strong."

Gabriela was also confused with herself why she didn't cry after knowing Aris was in a coma, what kind of wife is Gabriela?

Was she happy to see the man she had hated fall into a coma?

If that's true then Gabriela is a very evil woman, she has the heart to take pleasure in her husband's suffering.

Not crying doesn't mean Gabriela isn't sad but she just feels sorry for Aris's family who keep crying, moreover her mother-in-law has been crying ever since she came to the hospital.

After several days of being declared in a coma, the doctor finally told Aris that he had regained consciousness, but not long after that, Aris' condition returned to decline and the doctor stated that Aris could not be saved.

"Sorry, we have tried our best but the patient's life could not be saved and I, as the doctor who handled it, stated that Aris' brother had died. We are all sorry for the loss of Aris's brother forever, may the family left behind be given sincerity and patience."

After the doctor said goodbye, everyone who was waiting for Aris's news cried especially Aris's parents, they had just lost their only child.

Deep sorrow felt by both of them.

Now Aris's parents and Gabriela's parents hug each other to give strength and fortitude.

Meanwhile, Gabriela was still standing in front of the door of the ICU room where her husband was lying motionless inside.

It seems that Gabriela has just been slapped by the fact that the man she hates so much has left her forever.

Gabriela still can't believe what she just heard from the doctor about her husband.

Is it true that her husband is dead? Did that mean no one would pay attention to him like before?

If Aris has left him forever, does that mean that Aris will no longer greet him after work with his soothing smile? And no one accompanies him at home besides Aunt Elis?

"Aris died? How come?" Gabriela whispered while glancing into the ICU room.

Why did Gabriela now feel that something was missing from within her, half of her soul seemed to leave after hearing her husband's death.

The woman was approached by her brother who suddenly embraced her shoulder, "La."

Gabriela looked up at him with a sad look.

Suyeon's tiny body immediately sank when her brother hugged her tightly.

"I know you're sad La, so don't hold it in anymore. Losing a husband is not easy so cry, I will always hug you like this."

Gabriela knew that her older brother must also missed Aris a lot but the man tried to hold back his sadness, at least until he had time to be alone.

Currently he is with his little sister, he can't possibly cry now where as Gabriela who was abandoned by her husband doesn't cry and looks very strong.

Now Briel's job is only to comfort her younger sister who recently lost her husband.

Everyone here is grieving including Briel.

"La, cry. Why are you silent? I don't like it when you just stay silent and endure your sadness alone."

"Everyone here is grieving including myself, so there's nothing wrong if you cry, La. Losing your husband forever is not an easy thing, La, so don't keep it to yourself. I don't want you to hurt yourself." Briel rubbed her little sister's back gently.

He knew how her sister was feeling right now, so Briel told Gabriela to cry instead of enduring her grief alone.

Briel chose to see Gabriela cry rather than see her little sister just stay still and try to be strong.

There is no strong wife left by the husband she loves forever.

"I don't want mom and dad to see me cry, they are the ones who are grieving more so I have to look strong at least for now." Gabriela said.

Besides that, Gabriela also didn't know why she had to cry, even though her tears were hard to let out.

Briel chose to drown his little sister's body into his warm embrace.

"La, I have to take care of Aris's funeral." Briel let go of her hug when her father and her sister's father-in-law gave her the code to come closer.

Gabriela nodded, "Okay, thank you for taking care of Aris's funeral."

"I already consider Aris like my own younger sibling, La. So I should be the one taking care of the funeral. I'll stay before it's okay, right?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

Briel rubbed the top of his sister's head, "I know you are a strong woman, approach your mother and mother-in-law. Strengthen them."

"Okay."

Gabriela approached her mother and mother-in-law after Briel left her to take care of Aris' funeral.

"Aris. Why did you leave mom like this, son. You are your mother's only child, why do you have the heart to leave your mother alone here."

That was what Gabriela could hear as she approached her mother-in-law.

Gabriela was immediately greeted with a warm hug from her mother, "Well everything will be fine, at least Aris is no longer in pain."

Gabriela herself couldn't believe that her mother could be this strong, since hearing the news that Aris had an accident, her mother couldn't stop crying but why when Aris was declared dead, her mother didn't cry.

Maybe his mother didn't want to make Aris's parents sadder when she saw her cry too.
