Chapter 45:
Roman POV
So Keava had come after all, after we had all decided that it was safer for her to remain as far away from Roald di Firenze as possible. But I couldn’t focus on that right now because I had another problem in front of me.
My younger brother, Andrew Cabot.
“One would think you’d be happier to see family,” Andrew chided. “Especially after that favor I did for you.”
“The favor you did for me after I paid your bail and booked you into a luxury rehab center?” I replied with equal snark. “You really do have a short Memory.”
“Oh no, I remember. Which is why I am here, to give you support on your birthday.”
My hands were clenched into fists. I did not need him ruining this night, there was too much at stake.
“You’re not going to make a scene, are you?” He leaned in and whispered.
I looked around and saw that there were people watching us from the corners of their eyes, eagerly anticipating a drama to erupt between two estranged brothers.
