Act four, scene three

Òkúdù grew to see her as a mother figure. She is Madam Tejuosho. The merchant's abode is adjacent to the path that lead to the market. Villagers gather to mock the victim, yearning to see her identify the culprit.

Patrick walks up to rescue Òkúdù from the mob. They see his actions as an aftertale, mindless of the fact that he knows not a bit about the customs. A set of sessile standers accused him of the crime. This made the king summoned him. In the King's palace:

PALACE GUARD: (Drags Patrick into the palace carelessly)

PRINCE DEKANBI: Is this the culprit? (Nods and exits)

CHIEF OLONADE: But Mister, I thought your coming to our village is to improve the quality of our education. Isn't it?

PATRICK: (Agonises) Yes. Hear me out, please. I know not.....

PALACE GUARD 2: (Slaps Patrick on one side of the face) You, hypocrite!

IYALODE: This is ridiculous. Don't you know it is offensive to mess up sexually with a girl outside wedlock. The aftermath is evil. Pure evil.
