Etienne slipped his hand into his pocket and turned to Alexei. “May I borrow your pen?”
He took a business card out of a plain leather case and wrote on the back. “Here is my card. My private cell phone number is on the back. Call me if you need assistance with anything, anything at all, and I’ll be available to you. We all love Donal, and you kept him alive for us.”
Julio stood and took the card. “Thank you.”
“You’re very welcome.”
Etienne spoke quickly, “I have to go. There are some other things I have to arrange for this evening. I’ll be back tomorrow for the reception at noon. I’ll see you then.”
Julio nodded. He sat back down at the table next to Donal.
“I thought you would stay longer. I was about to invite you to dinner,” Alexei protested.
“Unfortunately, this can’t wait.” Etienne shook Donal’s and Julio’s hands.
“I’ll walk you out,” Alexei offered.
