Mr. Johnson was worried

Chapter Four

Mr. Johnson was worried.

And they call his friends and his friend broke the sad news to them. And they became very sad and Mrs Johnson began to weep.

"Oh my God why is this happening to us?Our one and only son has die. Someone we thought that after his school he will get a good job and we will be happy that we also have a successful child and now we lost him. Am fed up. He shouted at the top of his voice.

And Mr Johnson wept also. They couldn't eat through out that day.

Mr Johnson was lonely one day, he thought deep in his mind about all the houses, mansion and all his filling station he had.

He also remembered the sad news about his late son Laughter and all the sacrifice they have been offering with a ram every year.

"God! who will inherit the fruits of my labor? I wish I could have a child to take care of. I heard from a person that millions of children come from heaven above and only few survive. God why can't you direct one to me? Please direct one to me,"

Mr Johnson was in the sitting room still thinking as he heard a knock on the door.

And he went to open the door. It was Cain one of his close friend in town.

Mr Johnson welcomed him and he asked him to sat down so as to discuss with him.

Cain noticed how he was looking so dull, then he asked "why is your face so dull like this? Was it because of the child you lost?"

"Yes friend am really fed up and my heart was so worried. Imagine I and my wife as at this age, we have no child. infact I don't know what next to do am confused."

"But I have only one suggestion that I would like to share with you..."

"Which suggestion I want to know," He said as he interrupted him, he was anxious to hear it.

"Good, the suggestion is that, may be you and your wife should look for kidnappers and tell them to go in search of a baby boy or girl and claim him or her your child or what do you think," Cain said in a lower voice.

Cain i'm afraid of the police. What if we get caught by the police; you know it will be a serious case if they caught the person we send."

"Yes I know but I know someone that is smart in that line of job. The person in question has abducted many times and was successful on every occasion."

"Ok, If that be the case, let's try and I will inform my wife about it. I hope she agrees to it,"

"Ok, I want to go I have an appointment by 3 o'clock and it's 2:30 already. I will see you later," said Cain. And he left.

Mr Johnson and his wife were on the bed lying down at 8:30 pm, they wanted to sleep.

"Darling, I am thinking of one thing that is going to benefit us and I would like to share it with you," said Mr Johnson.

"Ok, i'm all ears." She was eager to hear about it.

"Darling, as you can see, at this age we have no child to inherit what we are working for. Then I think that we should go in search of a child by abduction and get someone that can do the job for us, then we will pay him for it."

Mrs Johnson thought for a while and said, "ok, I think that is a good idea. But how can we get the person that will go and find a child for us?"

"Don't worry just give me one week I will get them and tell them our plan and I pray they would do it successfully"."

"Amen, ok no problem."

There was a brief silent in the room, few minutes later, they slept off.

The second day was Wednesday, Cain was in the sitting room when he heard his phone ringing and he reached for it.

"Hello Johnson how was your night?" Asked Cain.

"Fine," he replied and continued, "please I need your attention can I come and see you at home today?" asked Mr Johnson.

"Yes i'm at home now but I want to go out by 12 noon."

"Ok i will come before 12 o'clock."

Ok bye." Cain hung up and dropped his phone on the table and began to watch television stations.

When it was 10 on the dot, Mr Johnson arrived at Cain's home and knocked. Cain open the door and they exchanged greetings. While they sat down in the same chair.

Cain was the only one at home.

"Cain, I have told my wife about the issue and she has agreed with me. So I have come for your assistance. I think you said that you have someone that is capable of doing the Job," said Mr Johnson.

"Yes I said it, I have the person's phone number. Hold on and let me call him," said Cain.

Cain picked up his phone and dialed a number. After ringing, someone reached for it.

"Hello Mr Cain." Said the man on the receiving end of the phone call.

"Good morning, please guy I need your attention right now, I have a job for you."

"Ok no problems, I will get in touch with you very soon. And he Hank up his phone.

When it was 20 minutes past 11 he got to Cain's house and they exchanged greetings.

"Etim" said Cain.

"Yes, my boss you said that there is a job for me," said Etim.

"Yes, I want you to search for a baby for my friend, and I want to know how much it will cost him and I don't want you to kidnapp any child in this state. I want a state that is far from here so that the child's parents won't recognize there child anymore by the time he is grown up," said Cain.

"Ok no problem the job will be done, but money is very important oh," said Etim.

"Ok how much do you want us to pay you?" asked Mr Johnson.

"you are going to pay us the sum of 20,000,000 since you said you want the one from outside state."

"Haha #20,000,000 is too much please reduce it for us," said Mr Johnson.

"No it's not much, because we will spend alot. We will spend on fuel, shelter and feeding before we succed in the kidnapping, and we are going to meet police that will challenge us on the way, so I think the money is not too much because of the challenges in it."

"Ok I heard you I will transfer #10,000,000

to you now and send the rest when you are done with the job "

"No sir, transfer #18,000,000 first and pay the rest later."

"Ok let me have your account number."

"8060562860." And Mr Johnson type the number on his phone.

"Ok you will receive the alert before 24 hours. How many days will it takes you to do the work successful."

"Give us a week."

"Ok we will be expecting, and I pray for save Johnny for all of you that is going," said Mr Johnson

"Amen."

"Ok you can go, expect the alert soon."

"Alright bye for now," said Etim and he left.

Etim got back home around 1:00 Pm, he called five of his gang members to come and meet him at home for an important discussion.

After there arrival, they had a meeting which started by 3:00Pm.

Etim greeted his gang members with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, knowing that he had brought them together for a dangerous and lucrative mission.

In the meeting, Etim told them about the baby that Mr Johnson had told him to kidnap.

"The man said that we should look for the child, not within this state but outside this state, so that the child will not be easily seen by his or her parents. So which state should we go to. And how can we kidnap the unknown baby successfully?"
