Quarter-Finals (2)

After Ash advanced to the semifinals, the next trainers that were called into the battlefield are Julio and Byron.

Julian who was watching this from the waiting room had no doubt that this one will be a sweep for Julio, though Byron is a strong trainer, he is the weakest trainer amongst the top 8, while Julio is a bootleg version of Julian.

And even though he is just a bootleg version, he is still better than Byron.

The two of them were soon asked to choose their pokemons and begin the battle, Byron started with a Salamence, his strongest pokemon while Julio sent out a Tyranitar.

The Tyranitar was easily able to overpower the Salamence and crush it with a powerful Stone Edge.

With Salamence's defeat, Byron had to send out his second pokemon into the battlefield, his choice this time was Gigalith.

Julio on the other hand chose to keep Tyranitar on the battlefield, and this time the result was no different.

Tyranitar was about to land a devastating Brick Break on Gigalith's head causing the bulk of crystal rock to get planted into the ground.

Byron, frustrated by the outcome quickly sent out his final pokemon into the battlefield, a massive Rhyperior entered the battlefield and tried to go head-on with Tyranitar in a feat of strength.

At first, both pokemons seem to be equally matched but Tyranitar soon overpowered the Rhyperior and then used a Hyper Beam at point-blank range right on Rhyperior's face and knocked it out.

With a dominating 3-0 victory Julio advanced to the semi-finals as well.

With Julio also making it into the semi-finals, there is only one battle left in the quarter-finals and it is between Julian and the trainer named Remo.

Julian is looking forward to this battle because he finally has a decent opponent. His opponent Remo is a very well-known trainer in Kalos, he has been consistent and had reached the finals in the previous league.

Remo has already proved that he is a great trainer by having a very successful career but to elevate his status as a great trainer, he needs to win the league and become an Elite, this is his goal.

And Remo believed this is the year, he believed that he will be the winner of this league and go ahead to defeat the elite four and maybe the champion.

It didn't matter even if the opponent standing in front of him is none other than Julian, though Julian has an incredible reputation of being an undefeated trainer it doesn't matter to Remo, he has been preparing for this day for over three years now.

In his first-ever league, he got eliminated in the quarter-finals, in his previous league, he reached the finals, and this time he is going to win it.

Just like Julian, Remo is waiting in the waiting room for him to be called into the battlefield, just as he was about to get frustrated, an employee walked in and informed Remo that he is up next.

Remo got excited and jumped up from his seat and stomped towards the battlefield in excitement.

The crowd outside is also getting restless because they are eagerly waiting for this battle as well, the announcer got to work and started introducing Remo to the audience.

Announcer "Ladies and Gentlemen, IT'S TIMEEEE, the moment you all have been waiting for, the fourth and last battle of the quarter-finals to determine who will advance to the semi-finals of the Kalos league conference is about to begin.

Let me introduce you to the first trainer, he is a returning veteran who hasn't given up on this goal to become the champion of Kalos, his history in the Kalos league has been exceptional and he plans to win it this time. Everyone let's welcome the domineering Remo"

The announcer said and the crowd cheered, they called for Remo as he is quite famous in Kalos and there are a lot of supporters for him even though his opponent is Julian. People still believed in him and since he is from Kalos, people from Kalos are cheering for him.

Remo walked in and his fans didn't hold back at all, they cheered for him as loud as they could but there were also a lot of boos that followed the cheers, these boos were of course from the people who are behind Julian.

Seeing things are getting heated, the Announcer moved on and started to introduce Julian.

Julian is waiting right next to the entrance of the battlefield as he heard the announcer introducing him, he knew he was up and as soon as the Announcer ended his announcement, Julian walked in.

His fans always cheered him like they are not going to see him ever again.

He smiled and waved at them and took his position on the battlefield, he then looked at his opponent who is standing on the other side of the battlefield glaring at him, Julian read his opponent and wondered what he would bring to the battlefield.

His opponent Remo is quite an intimidating man, he is first of all massive standing over 6 feet tall, with wide shoulders and massive arms, he is also holding a purple umbrella in his hand which seems to have a keystone at its top end.

Seeing the Keystone, Julian knew he will be facing a mega evolved pokemon.

The referee then walked in and looked at both trainers and began to explain the rules of the battle.

Referee "This will be a three on three pokemon battle, both trainers will be allowed to switch pokemons during or in the middle of the battle, the trainer with no pokemons at the end of the battle will lose and will be eliminated from the tournament and the winner will advance to the semi-finals"

The referee then paused and looked at both trainers and asked them if they are ready, once he got the confirmation, he made the all.

Referee "Both trainers, choose your pokemons".
