Chapter 1: Reincarnation, in my self?

Fu Tian was a servant of the outer quarters of the Immortal will sect. He was weak and had not progressed since he started living here. He could feel the eyes of contempt his fellow brothers gave him as they passed from outer disciple to inner disciple. "Man, why would they let a weakling like you in here" he heard them say once as they were foraging for herbs to use in Alchemy. He did not respond but more words like that kept coming. They were not wrong, why would a glorious sect like this let a nobody, failure like him in. At this point, he was only mud and shit among their entry records.

He trudged back to his quarters. It was night when he returned, and he immediately took out a bottle from a spatial ring that was on his right ring finger. All disciples who were apart of the Immortal Will Sect recieved a spatial ring. It was a rank 1 spiritual tool, meaning the space inside was the size of a small house. Fu Tian was keeping things like medicinal ointments and low-level manuals inside. The ring was bound to him, and none but him and few others could forcefully obtain whats inside. It was an anti-theft measure to make sure disciples don't steal from each other, creating sabotage which could affect its rankings among the sects. That was the only reason the others had not stolen due to his weakness, as he was not stupid to keep his stuff out in the open, besides the ordinary items he had on hand.

The dorm room was empty, spare a few newbies that now inhabited it with him. The ones that entered the sect with him have moved on to inner disciples. Fu Tian then opened the bottle as a subtle fragrance wafted out. The fragrance was a pleasant one, quite unusual for the medicine he knew of, then again it was weaker medicine. Fu Tian then began to apply the medicine to the various small injuries on his body, scratches from herbs and wounds made by his former colleagues. 'One day, I will get better' thought Fu Tian as he then brought out a manual titled Heavenly Body Refinement. It was a low-level cultivation technique that reinforced his body through the use of energy which flowed through his body using his meridians. The energy was termed Qi by ancient practitioners but has alot more uses than vital energy.

He then sat in a meditating pose and began chanting, and absorbing the energy from the surroundings and combined it with his own energy. The energy then flowed among the meridian system and began enhancing the body. The rate was slow, even slower than those with very little talent, almost as if the universe destined him for being weak. He felt a slight tingling sensation as he cultivated, unlike when he cultivated before. He kept going, cycling the energy as the sensation became far more intense. His body began to shake, his meridians vibrating, and his Qi going out of control. He tried to bring his energy under control but he could not wrangle it in. His body began to convulse as his Qi began deviating, flowing in a chaotic state that was too dangerous for his body. He then tried to stop cultivating but as he tried to end the technique, his soul then shattered.

His body then just flopped down on his bed, no life discernable through his eyes. His qi was not fluctuating like a living being, and was stagnant. His soul was not repairable by the techniques available to the sect, and even if they had them they would not waste it on a lowly person like Fu Tian. Nobody knew he died that night, and they would not care either way. However, something mysterious happened to him. A small dimensional tear opened above his body, and a spectral orb then began to exit the tear. It then extended golden, thread size tendrils into Fu Tian's body and then fully merged with it. The spectral orb was a soul, a soul with immense amounts of energy as indicated by its golden color.

The soul then began to absorb the broken soul fragments and when it finished absorbing them, the body opened its eyes.

'I succeded!' I shouted in my mind as I saw the reincarnation ritual was a success. I mean, who wouldn't shout in success when a ritual that you didn't even know would work, works. However, that moment of glory died down when I finally realized where I am. 'Odd, the ritual should have reincarnated me into a few years in the future, but this looks like I am on a set for a xianxia show' I thought as I then feel a flood of information began flooding my brain, and my soul. 'Well fuck' I thought to myself as I then sat down to process this information. First, apparently I am in a cultivation world, second is I am weak as shit, and the third thing is that this is my own pre-awakened body, in looks and in name.

'I wonder if they carried over?' I asked myself as I began to meditate to look for the things I needed. It took around an hour before I felt something click within myself and a transparent screen appeared in front of me.

[Fu Tian]

[Human]

[Age: 19]

[Cultivation stage: Physical refinement]

<Skills >

[Analyze(Unique)] Grants a powerful understanding of something by analyzing the object thuroughly using energy to gain a grasp of its intent and purpose. Also allows them to determine a persons power level accurately.

[Technique Creation(Unique)] A unique form of technique creation that allows one to create techniques, any technique, as long as an appropiate amount of energy and knowledge is there. The more thought put into a technique, the less the technique costs to create. The less detail, the more the energy is spent to realize ones desireable technique.

'All right, it seems that most of my skills and techniques I gained/created have disappeared except for the two I had upon awakening. Though the question is, were they sacrificed for the spell, or were they considered not apart of me and as such were not affected by my reincarnation spell?' I thought to myself as I analyzed the transparent screen, and noticed that the usual stats disappeared and were replaced by cultivation level instead. 'I guess I really am in a Xianxia world, but when I arrived I absorbed broken pieces of this body's soul, so I should analyze for damage' I thought as I then activated my [Analyze] skill and began a deep inspection on my body for potential damage. What I saw almost made me pass out. The body's energy channels were wrecked, his talent was crippling low, and his body was weak.

'Well, I know what I need to do first before I do anything else' I thought as I began to assess the situation. First, I need to create a technique to heal the energy channels first, then I need to increase my talent as well. 'Well I know this place has a library with refrence materials, so I need to go look there so I can gather enough knowledge to reduce the cost of technique creation, well when it hits morning hours anyway' I say to myself as I fall asleep.
