Chapter 3: Gemstone Academy

Elisse's POV

"P-Prince?" I asked.

"Yes, I am. Look around where you are going." He said and left. He even bumped me on the shoulder.

Many students kept looking at me. Embarrassing. But I just walked away and forget what happened. First day of class, I messed it up just because of my stupidity.

"She's beautiful. She looks like the Princess." A woman said that just passed.

"Yes. Only their hair color is different." The woman who was with her said.

Princess? Are they referring to Princess Jewel? I just walked into our school and I ignored what they said.

When I enter ...

"GET DOWN!" A woman shouted.

Suddenly something hit my head so hard and I fell on the floor. Everything went black.

I opened my eyes. My vision is blurred. But, I see a light and two ladies. Are they angels? Am I already in heaven?

"She's awake." Said the lady standing on the right side of the bed.

"Where am I?" I asked them.

"Thank you! You woke up finally. I thought you were dead." The lady on the left side said. Do I look like a corpse today?

I got up slowly. My head hurts. What happened? Why am I at the clinic? I thought I was in heaven.

"Ah, I'm sorry about what happened earlier. I accidentally hit your head with a ball. I'm really sorry." The lady on the left side said. "I'm Venice. Venice Pattinson." She added.

"I'm Suzielette Wendell." The lady on the right side said.

"So, does your head still hurt?" Venice asked me.

I shook my head. "Not anymore. Just a little."

"Do you still need to rest?" Suzielette asked.

"I'm fine. Thank you." I said.

I stood up slowly and Venice helped me.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Elisse Hudson." I answered. I'm still a little dizzy. The ball hit my head so hard.

"Elisse? We're in the same class." Venice said with a smile.

"Really? That's great. Fortunately, I have an acquaintance here now." I said.

"If you're okay now, let's go to our classroom." Said Suzielette.

"Sure, I'll just tell the nurse that you're okay already." Venice said and she went to the nurse's office.

Suzielette and I just kept quiet while waiting for Venice.

"The nurse has already allowed us to leave." Said Venice as she exited the nurse's office.

They said goodbye to the nurse there who was watching over us then we left the clinic.

"Where is our classroom?" I asked them.

"Ah, still on the 2nd floor. We are on the 4th floor now so we need to go down." Suzielette said while pointing at the stairs.

A long staircase.

"We have to go down... There?!" I shouted.

Gosh. Do they have no pity on my beauty? I was dizzy before, now they will let me go down that long stairs?

"Who told you to go down there? If only we could go straight to the classroom?" Venice asked with a smile. I was confused.

Suddenly they grabbed my hands.

"Let's teleport." Venice said and I felt a vibration in my body. I close my eyes. When I opened my eyes, we are in the classroom.

Our classmates were staring us. Like they are questioning where we came from.

"HOW DID THAT HAPPENED?!" I asked Venice and Suzielette.

"Hush. Don't shout. We're in the classroom." Suzielette scolded me.

"Sorry." I mumbled.

"We'll explain to you later." Venice said.

They pulled me over and we sat at the back. It's a good thing they thought of sitting here. I can sleep.

"What happened?" I asked them again.

"Gosh. Just ask later." Said Suzielette.

A woman entered our classroom. She is probably our teacher.

"Good morning students. I am Headmistress Gazelle. Welcome to Gemstone Academy." She said.

She's pretty. She is wearing a yellow dress and her hair is blonde. Her blue eyes are so mesmerizing.

Suddenly someone entered the classroom. Wait, I think I know this guy.

"Prince Kaizer Emerald. Will you please explain why you are late?" Headmistress Gazelle asked him.

"I apologize, Headmistress Gazelle. This won't happen again." Prince Kaizer said that.

Right! He was the arrogant Prince I met earlier. Why is he here?

"Good. You may take your seat." Headmistress Gazelle told him.

He was already looking for his seat.

And...

WHY IS HE SITTING NEXT TO ME?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT IS THIS?!

He stared at me first before he sat down. I thought he was going to avoid me, but he was still staring at me, questioning my whole existence.

I just avoided him myself.

"Why are you here?" He asked. Is he asking me? Oh fool. Who else, Elisse?

"This is my classroom." I answered but I did not look at him.

"Is this a coincidence or are you stalking me already?" He asked. His face was as thick as a book. Stalking him? In his dreams.

"I am not your stalker." I said. But I still don't look at him.

Why is he talking to me? I get distracted. I can't listen to Headmistress Gazelle properly.

I thought he would still speak. But he suddenly became silent. Good.

"Class, I'll dismiss you early. It's your first day today. We'll start lecturing tomorrow. You may go." Said Headmistress Gazelle.

My classmates immediately left the classroom. It's like just coming out of jail. I thought the students here were well-mannered. I guess I just expected too much but this is better.

"Let's go! I want to eat ginger bread!" Venice said as she dragged Suzielette and I out of the classroom.

We ran to the cafeteria.

"Oh my gosh!" Venice said happily when we arrived at the cafeteria.

Lots of students are taking ginger bread. Maybe that's really delicious. When Venice was about to take over, she was suddenly sad.

"Huhu! Why didn't you left just one piece for me? End of the world! No ginger bread!" Venice told Suzy and I. I'll just call her Suzy starting right now.

"Shut up! You look like a child." Suzy scolded her.

"You don't know how I feel. I love ginger bread!" Venice said then she walks out.

"What happened there?" I asked Suzy.

"Tss. She really likes ginger bread." She said.

Suzy and I sat at a vacant table. Moments later, Venice returned.

"Hi! You have to taste this cotton candy. Yum!" Venice said while biting the cotton candy.

"New favorite." Said Suzy.

"Of course. And I also got for you two." Venice said and she gave each of us cotton candy.

"Thank you." I said.

I ate the cotton candy. Wow. Heaven is the taste. And the color is cute as well.

"Ah! It's so sweet! It'll hurt my teeth. Take this, Elisse. It's yours now." Suzy said and gave me her cotton candy.

"Eh? This is enough for me. I'll get diabetes if I'll eat too much of this." I said.

"Fine! I'll take it. Hmp!" Venice said and grab the cotton candy of Suzy from me.

The bell rang and the students started leaving the cafeteria and went back to their classrooms.

"Let's go back. Just swallow that Venice." Suzy said to Venice.

"Grrr. Wait I'll be back." Venice said and she suddenly left.

After a while, she returned without the cotton candy.

"Where's the cotton candy?" I asked her.

"I swallowed hehe." She replied. Eh? How? It looks like she just disappeared for a minute.

"Come on! We're late again." Suzy said. She's annoyed already.

So, we followed Suzy and went back to our classroom. A woman also entered just as we were sitting in our chairs. We arrived just in time.

"I am Fairy Chandelle. I will be your teacher in this subject, Rules and History of the Royal World." Said Fairy Chandelle. She is wearing a color indigo dress and her fairy wings. Her hair and eyes are black.

The teachers here are all fairies.

Fortunately, Prince Kaizer is a bit far from me. He moved to another chair.

"Well, it's your first day, introduce yourself to your classmates first." Fairy Chandelle said to us.

A lady sitting in front started. "I am Freya, I am a fairy from Fairy Garden."

We have a fairy classmate? That's cool!

"Do you know the Fairy Garden?" Venice whispered to me.

"No. I think I just heard of that." I told her.

"It is said to be a garden full of fairies. It's beautiful there. But, no one has been there yet, just fairies." She says.

Why can't anyone go there?

"Only fairies can go in Fairy Garden. It's a secret place." Said Suzy.

"Students, we don't have much enough time. I need to dismiss you. Something happened in our place." Said Fairy Chandelle.
