Chapter 12: Lost

Elisse's POV

Ryelee and Viana helped us find Venice. We have toured the whole village. We don't even know where we are right now. And also, it's getting late.

"Let's just go back." Said Suzy.

"No. Let's keep looking for her. Maybe Venice is just here." I said. Venice's pixie hasn't shown up so I know she's not at school yet.

We stopped. We are here outside the Enchanted Forest. I remember Brother Nathan. We used to play hide-and-seek here when we were younger.

"Oh no, let's not go inside the Enchanted Forest." Ryelee said.

Why? Is it forbidden to enter the Enchanted Forest?

"Let's go back." Said Suzy.

"Let's go in. We'll look for Venice. If you want to go back, then go back. I'll find Venice by myself." I said and I entered the Enchanted Forest.

"Elisse! Let's just go back!" Suzy shouted but I did not listen to her.

It's so dark inside the Enchanted Forest. Only the light of the moon became the source of light.

Suddenly, I heard a noise. It looks like someone is coming. I got off my horse and hid behind a big tree. I peeked and looked at who was following me.

"Where is that woman? She have no idea what kind of place is this!" The woman's voice was familiar.

Who is that?

I peeked and it was Suzy so I immediately went out where I was hiding.

"Oh crap! You're just there! I've been looking for you!" Suzy said to me and she got off her horse. I noticed that Ryelee and Viana were gone.

Where are they?

"Suzy, where are Ryelee and Viana?" I asked her.

"They're just here- Wait, where are those fairies?" She asked.

We turned around and looked for them. But there was nothing. We looked all around, there's no Viana and Ryelee.

I called Viana through my mind but she did not show up. What is happening? She's supposed to appear eventually.

"Oh no. They're missing. They left us here." I told Suzy.

"Elisse. They're not missing." Said Suzy. What does she mean?

Our eyes widened as we realized something. Oh no. She's just joking, isn't she?

"WE'RE LOST!" We shouted.

What are we going to do? It's my fault! We should have just go back to school. Venice is gone and now Suzy and me. How can we tell Headmistress about this?

Suzy and I started panicking here. Restless. What are we going to do now? How can we get back? How can we ask for some help?

"We're going to die!" I said.

"Shut up, stupid! We're just lost. We won't die here. Never." Said Suzy.

We sat under the tree. We are tired of panicking.

"We're lost. How can we get back?" I asked Suzy.

"I don't know. Let's just go to sleep. It's late." She says. Is she serious about what she is saying?

"What if there are evil creatures here and they will eat us while we sleep?" I asked. I'm not scaring her, I'm just making sure.

"Don't even think like that. It's so scary." Said Suzy.

"I'm just saying what could possibly happen to us here in the Enchanted Forest." I told her.

"Go to sleep! What is something on your mind? Stop thinking about it." Said Suzy then she closed her eyes.

I just closed my eyes too. I thought of fun things. Like I was riding a unicorn while sliding on a rainbow. Hehe. It's fun right?

Moments later, we fell asleep.

"Elisse..."

Where am I again?

"Elisse..."

I stood up and I realized I was alone in this dark place. Then suddenly the place changed. I am in a forest. But this is not the Enchanted Forest.

I saw a black butterfly perched on my hand. The black butterfly flew away. It seems like it want me to follow.

"Follow the butterfly, Elisse." A voice said.

Well, I followed the butterfly as the voice said to me.

"Elisse!"

I woke up suddenly because someone shouted near my ear. Suzy's really annoying in the morning.

"What happened?" I asked Suzy.

"I've been waking up a lot of times. You're really a sleepyhead!" She says.

I stood up. I'm still sleepy. But my dream was strange. It was somehow... Familiar.

"I saw a river there. Come on. It's not that far." Suzy said and she pulled me. We run towards the river which was Suzy talking about.

When we got there, we were amazed at what we saw. The river is beautiful. The water is so clear.

"This is amazing! Glad you found this place!" I said in amazement.

I immediately paddled in the river. The water is a bit cold but still refreshing.

Suzy and I played in the river. Then, we just took a bath because we were soaking wet after all. I suddenly remembered we didn't brought any extra dress. We are fools.

"That's enough. We don't have extra clothes." I said. Suzy nodded.

Suzy and I went back to our horses. I squeeze my clothes to lessen the water from it.

We removed the leash tied to our horses. Suzy and I got on the horses and started traveling again. We're looking a way out of this forest.

"I'm feeling cold." I said and hugged myself.

"Give me your hands." Said Suzy. I went closer to her her and hold her hand. I felt heat all over my body. I was surprised because I was no longer feeling cold and our dress was dried.

"Woah. How did you do that?" I asked her. She just smiled at me as a response.

As we went deep inside the forest, the place became more unfamiliar to us.

"We just lost ourselves more." Suzy said and we stopped our horses.

The Enchanted Forest is so huge. How can we get out here? We looked around, hoping to find a way out.

"Don't give up, there has to be a way." Suzy said then we started moving again.

The trees grew bigger and bigger as we walked inside here. We are now seeing many more animals. Rabbits, deers, squirrels and birds. I should've known that there's more inside of the Enchanted Forest.

"Elisse, I'm starving." Suzy said and she stopped her horse from walking.

"We're both just hungry." I told her.

We got off our horse and sat down under a tree.

"We are going to die here. No one will discover our dead bodies." Said Suzy. She looks very tired. We are both just tired.

"That's right. Geez. How unfortunate, I still had more plans for my life." I said.

I envy our horses, they aren't starving and only eating grasses. They are fortunate. What about us? We can't eat grasses. We will starve to death.

Is Venice back? I wish she is.

I bowed my head down. Then suddenly something fell on my head.

"Ouch!" I said. I looked at the object that had fallen on my head.

Oh what a lucky day! It's an apple!

"Yes! We are not going to die yet!" I said and took the apple.

Suzy and I looked up. Wow! It turned out that this tree was an apple tree.

"I'll go up." Suzy said and she climbed the tree. I did not know that she could climb a tree.

She took two apples and threw one at me. Of course I caught that. I stared at the apple first. Its color is unique. Color violet. Weird. I bit that. It also tastes weird.

Why do I suddenly feel this way? Why does my head seem to hurt?

I was dizzy so I fell to the ground.

Suzielette's POV

"Elisse!" I shouted. Why does this woman always faint? I think she has a serious illness!

She let go of the apple she had eaten. She is so pale. What am I going to do with this woman? What is happening?

Oh crap. Such a terrible timing. Now, I need to call them.

I just closed my eyes. I need their help.

"Fairies, I need you."
