Chapter 2: Traveler System

As incredulous as it sounds, Utakata thought he was affected by a genjutsu. But he didn't sense a sliver of foreign chakra in his system. Whatever this floating square in from of him is, it definitely wasn't the work of a genjutsu.

Utakata used "Kai", but nothing happened.

He disturbed his chakra tenketsu point with a seal release. However the semi-transparent screen was still there. He tried to look away, and it followed his line of sight.

He stretched out his hand, and his finger could somehow interact with the interface. He studied this 'system' for a moment and try to understand what was this all about. By the look of it, it seems that this system is something like a assortment of functions that the 'user' could use. He didn't find anything about the true origin of this system, but the functions in this system is really something else.

The system functions are [Travel], [Item], [Skill], [Crafting], [Character], [Shop], and lastly [Daily Task].

The first function which is also the main function of the system, [Travel] is capable sending the user on a dimensional travel. He could use a Travel Ticket for a round-trip, a ticket cost 500 System Points.

The Item function is like the ultimate version of a storage scroll. It can contain anything inside it's infinite space. Also the time is stopped inside the Item space. Which mean, if he store a spiffing hot soup, then when he retrieve it the soup will still be the same as when he store it. That's quite handy for sure. After all, the only reason he travelled lightly with only a bottle of soap bubble and bubble straw, is because he's constantly on the run. He couldn't afford getting over-encumbered with things. And storage seal is pretty expensive in the market. This infinite stash was the answer for all of his predicament that he suffered since he become a missing-nin. .

As for the Skill, it shows what skill he already learn and could learn according to the Skill Diagram. To learn a skill from the Skill Diagram, he need to spend a System Points and must met the requirement.

Next is crafting, there are three sub menus in this function: Craft, Synthesize, and Enhance. Craft menu can be used to make some stuff such as food, potion, even weapon and equipment. Synthesize is the menu where you can put some raw materials and then combine it into the higher grade of the said material. Utakata was not sure about this menu, but he'd like to try it when he got the chance. Lastly, there's enhance ..., this menu let you enhance an item by sacrificing other items of the same type or using an Item Experience Material. Enhancing an item will leveling up the said item, making it more powerful.

Character menu contained his profile and general introduction and comprehensive statistical data of his body.

The Shop let you buy an item with System Points as it's main currency, but there's also feature like Money Exchange where he could exchange Ryo for System Points. Though, the exchange rate is slightly broken, a hundred thousand Ryo just for one System Points? That much is like the usual payment of B-rank mission. Though, the item listed in the Shop is quite good ..., raw materials, shinobi gear, supply, jutsu scroll, pill, and even bloodlines limit. But Utakata dropped his jaw when he scrolled to see that even a Chakra Fruit can be bought from this shop!

 "Juubi!?" Utakata mused after reading that description. 

When he was reincarnated and then his revived corpse got controlled by Obito's with Rinnegan Six Path, he got a glimpse of what Akatsuki grand plan. The whole Tsuki-no-Me Project was a bullshit of a childish man who can't move on from his death girlfriend. Obito manipulated Akatsuki to collect tailed beast in the Elemental Nations and used it to empower a massive, world scale genjutsu, the Infinite Tsukuyomi. In those genjutsu, there won't be a war and the world will be in eternal peace. Of course, Utakata thought that was some bullshit. Reality is harsh and full of strive, but to rely on world-scale genjutsu to escape from it is just utter nonsense. If such a tree could empower a world-scale jutsu, then the amount of chakra inside would be insane.

'But damn, five hundred million System Points. Even if I rob every households in the Elemental Nation, I don't know if I could get enough ryo to buy that.'

Chakra Fruit is the most overpowered thing in this world, however, Utakata couldn't afford to buy it even if he worked his ass for hundreds of years. What he need is something that could help him fight against Six Path Pain, and something that he could afford to buy. He sighed and closed the Shop System and moved to the next feature.

The Daily Task was a set of daily routine or miscellaneous quest that grant him Experience Points and System Points. There's only 4 tasks right now and they're all sounds easy to complete. The reward depends on the difficulty, but it's ranging from 5-20 System Points. That's insane to be honest, completing the easiest Daily Task rewarded him 5 SP which worth about 500.000 ryo!

'Alright, maybe it's time to work on this ...' Utakata convinced that this 'system' can help him with his fight against Pain Akatsuki.

'This is ...?' He closed the notification and opened the Item menu. He opened the box that he just claimed.

Utakata opened the boxes and the envelopes. He choose a short sword from the weapon box and got an [Airstep Sword]. A one-edged short sword that grant him additional chakra and halves chakra consumption when using a jutsu in mid-air.

The artifacts he received from the box were a set of 5, the [Lucky Dog] set. It contain a flower, feather, clock, goblet, and a headgear. Utakata don't know how to equip them, but after checking the Character menu, he know that there's a slot for artifact in that menu. The artifact set grant him a passive bonuses, the first bonus is increased his CON by 20 Points, and the second is when he picked up an item from defeated enemy he will restore 300 Health.

The material boxes contain some materials: Bluesilk Flower, White Lily, Black Higanbana, Thunder Crystal, and White Iron Ore. Utakata picked up certain interest related to herbs and natural medication. Seeing the herbs and rare flower from the material boxes, he wondered what medical effect those plants have.

Lastly, the Red Packet Envelope has System Point ranging from 10-100 SP, in total, he got 360 SP from the ten envelopes.

Utakata used all of the Experience Book and leveled up his character to Level 35. He also increased his Bubble Ninjutsu with the Skill Experience Book. After finished with the Starter Pack, he finished the remaining Daily Task and claimed the rewards. 

"Well then, I suppose I should use it now or I would miss the chance." he muttered with a Travel Ticket in hand.
