Slave [3]

After sending off his mother and sisters, Marth was left alone in the Winter Mansion. It took around two hours from this place to the Korperkorb city. And they must return before it get dark, if they didn't want to be attacked by the monster roamed in the wild.

Marth was seated in the seat of honor in the dining room. This dining room was more simpler with less decoration compared to the dining hall in the mansion in Korperkorb city.

He was having his diner while all of the slave was standing in front of him. Awkwardly watching him eating the meal.

Marth pointed up his chin while arrogantly stated, "Introduce yourself! I'll listen while having my lunch. Starting from you!"

He pointed a person who stood in the right most of the line.

It was a dwarf person with only but a loincloth with him. Actually, aside from the expensive girls, the rest demi-human slaves were only wearing loincloth. He could just use the Appraisal Spell to check their detail, but he thought it was too waste of his Magic Power.

"I'm Mafumafu."

"Eve"

"Reoru"

"Soraru."

"Zeru"

....

The dwarf starting to say some hard to remember name. He brought back all 32 Iron-nail dwarves and five cat-tail beastman with three slave girl. Totalling 40 slaves.

From the dwarves, 13 of them were female, they are not the legal-loli kind of dwarf(thankfully). They have same stout and barrel-body like the male dwarf only minus their thick beard.

The cat-tail person was all male, and all of them are sick or having some kind of diseases. Seems like Osman really tricked Marth this time.

And as for the human slave girl.

"Heya ..., Hilda-desu, I am confidence with my painting skill. So, if you want some portrait or scenery painting, just tell me, and I'll draw it for you. Of course ..., if you give me the equipment, such as the brush and the oil paints." the orange-haired girl introduced herself while being overly friendly.

"Hilda, be respectful!" another girl beside the orange-haired chop her head and make the painter girl bowed, "Master, please let me say sorry for this girl's lack of manner."

It was the blue-haired beauty. After forcing the painter girl to apologize, the blue-haired girl with sapphire eyes stared at Marth and introduced herself, "My name is Sahara, I will obey every order from you, Master."

He who was in the process of taking a spoonful of meal to his mouth was startled by her calm eyes that gave a feeling as if he was staring at a lake. The intellectual glint on her eyes was a proof that she was somewhat special.

'I only took a glance at her and never carefully look up at her stats in detail. But let me take a good look at it...,'

'Interesting.'

That was his honest thought, the reason why he choose to buy her was because he glanced that she had more list of skills than the other slaves at the slave trader's tent. However, when he carefully inspected her skill sets, she was more bizarre than she seems to be.

Her built up to now was more close to stealth type, perhaps a rogue or assassin. But she didn't exuded aura from someone who was from that shaddy part of society. And although her skills were mostly inactive, but she who got those skills were amazing on its way.

Marth wondered ..., just how could she gain all of those skills.

'What a strange slave you are, talking about loyalty when you are tied in contract.'

Marth continued to eat another a spoonful of chicken soup while glancing at the blue-eyed blue-haired girl amusingly.

'Well, whatever. I don't care if you can read my mind ..., moreover, won't that be helpful, a secretary that can read her boss' mind?'

He then turned his attention to the last girl. The person he needed the most in his money making plan. While beautifully ignored the mind-reader girl who widened her eyes in shock.

He raised his chin to made the girl began introducing herself.

"Diana." the short-cutted brown haired girl answered curtly and bowed her head.

This girl has the [Compounding] skill at level 3. But aside from that, she also have the basic [Linguistic], [Arithmetic], [Herbology] and some miscellaneous life skills such as [Cleaning], [Cooking], and [Gardening].

"Are you an alchemist's apprentice before becoming a slave?"

"...," Diana looked back at him with puzzled face, she shook her head and answered, "My teacher is a Herbalist."

"Ahh ..., I see, Herbalist could also use [Compounding]." Marth nodded his head, he gestured the butler, "Prepare the bath house, and also a fitting clothes for them. Let them cleanse the filth on their body, I want to see them in proper clothing and all clean before the evening."

"Clean clothes, Young Master Marth ..., unfortunately there isn't anything on these dwarf size. Should I send some men to buy it?" asked Reno, the butler.

"Hmmm ..., there's no need to do that, just take it from my spare clothes."

"But that's ..."

"What? Just took my inner shirt or whatever, I don't care ..., I don't want to see them in such pitiful state of not wearing any clothes. Do it!"

"I will prepare accordingly." Reno nodded and led the slaves to go with him.

Before the butler closed the dining room's door, Marth's voice echoed in the hallway. "Get Hilda to my room tonight!"

It was a loud shout and because the slave haven't yet walked that far, they were clearly able to hear it. Making the orange-haired girl dyed in red.

Inside an old room full of thick books, with a quill in his hand, Marth sat down in front of the desk while noting down every single thing that needs to be done. At the moment, this would be his priority.

[-] Berserk Potion

[-] More effective Health & Magic Potion

[-] Berserk Potion Jazemme Fruit, Sunflower Seeds, Karappa Leaves.

He made a simple to do list, but he also add some of the recipe for the potion while he could remember it.

"If I recall ..., there was also a magical way to grow a crops by adding Health Potion into a fertilizer. Should I test it then ..." he murmured while still adding some minor detail into his to do list.

The first thing he needs to do was to raise a fund. With the 11k Geld left after buying the slaves, he couldn't do much. Marth planned to use 4k to refurbish one of the room in this mansion to be his research workshop, and the rest for buying materials.

He could do with just that, but for the next month and he didn't produce anything ..., then he would be

He needs to regain the lost money from it to execute the next plan and his top priority. Hiring his private army and start hunting the sacrifice he needed.

As for this money making plan, while yes he had numerous thing from earth that could be remake, that three things were the easiest he could think of.

Paper in Eliru Continent was made from cotton fibre, it was thicker and murkier than paper he know from modern world. Soap, he didn't remember anyone using that in this place, they all use some kind of stalk, weed stalk ashes. As for lighter(matches), it was considered as high end product because lighter in Eliru was enchanted magic tool. Many of the poor household couldn't afford this, and they still use flint stone to spark a fire if in their family there wasn't anyone who could use fire magic.

The priority was arranged, and he could attempt to finish the point bellow if he haven't fulfil the point above. To hire a mercenary, of course he needs gold. And to go to Darkmoore Forest, he needs the protection of the mercenary. To began his research, he also needs some fund to buy equipment and materials. The rest of the point also needed money and mercenary.

His attention turned into the third point of his to do list.

'Is it a must to get the Mistra's Whisper? Can I just make something like that myself ...?'

Some bizarre thought popped out in his mind.

Mistra's Whisper was an old artefact that could be found in the Darkmoore Forest. Roman retrieve this artefact when he was in the field trip of his academy that turned into a calamity. This device worked just like how email, or maybe pager work. It come into a pair, and could send a short message to anyone who has the counterpart.

Unfortunately, this long-distance communication device only come into a pair. And while Roman attempted to reverse-engineer this artefact, until the end of the game, it never come into production.

Right, talking about production ..., there was indeed a method to create magic device like this. And that was with [Enchanting]. Enchanting, just like the name was to imbue a [Chant] or [Spells] into an [Object]. This process could made object with magic imbued and anyone could use it without the needs of Magic Power from the user.

The Magic Power to run the device was from the resource called Magic Crystal that could be harvested from monsters or mined from the earth.

'I need to learn something about this Enchanting ...' he wrote another point on his to do list.

Marth walked out of the study. The day has darken and the light of dusk dyed the world in red. Reno the butler come out from the main bedroom, in other word his room.

"What are you doing ...?" asked Marth with puzzled expression on his face.

"I just finished with the preparation and escort Ms. Hilda into your room, Young Master."

He remembered asked such thing to him at lunch, Marth nodded, "Ahh ..., okay, good work."

"Please take your time." Reno bowed and left.

Marth walked into the room. It was grander than his bedroom in the mansion at the city, it's wider and more luxurious.

There ..., awkwardly sitting on the bed side with thin silk clothes, was the orange haired flat-chested painter girl. She was trembling and sometime glancing to Marth's direction with face that looks like having a fever.

With stuttering voice, she said, "I-I ..., this is my first time, so please forgive me for being inexperienced."

"The hell with that, didn't you said that you're confidence with your skill?" Marth unperturbed with her who was flustered.

"That's ..., did Master Marth talking about my painting skill or my skill in the bed?" asked Hilda back.

"Of course your painting skill ..., rather, it's your sketching skills. Come here..." Marth went to take a blank paper scroll assorted in a basket and a charcoal pencil.

"..." Hilda walked to him with curiosity.

She was puzzled, wasn't he going to make her serve him and then humiliate her self-pride? That was what she thinking about this whole time since he shouted in the dining room. But, it seems he need her to draw something.

Marth handed her the paper scroll and pencil, "Here ..., draw this room floor plan!"

"Floor plan ...? Oh, okay ..., cool." Hilda took the drawing instrument and began sketching. Not long after, she finished the task and handed the result over. "Here you go ..."

It was a square with some stroke here and there and there was also a small swan-like pattern at the four-side of the square. It was beautifully rendered to the point that Marth who was an amateur in sketching was amazed, even though she only use a crude charcoal pencil.

But there was a problem with her sketch. she was drawing a single ceramic of the floor, it's not the floor plan at all. It was a sketch of a sole ceramic in this room.

"Uhmm ..., miss Hilda, perchance, do you not know what a floor plan is?"

"..., I-I'm sorry, I'll draw it again! Please forgive me!" Hilda took back the scroll and began scribbling again.

But when she handed over the paper to Marth. The young boy sighed, this time ..., it was one-perspective drawing of this bedroom. Hell, there was even sketch of him sat down on the chair.

"Alright ..., Now I'm sure that your drawing is quite decent. But this is not what I wanted you to draw at all. Come here, I'll show you what the floor plan is..." Marth beckoned her, "So, I want you to draw the shape of each room in this mansion. It's like a map..., in a sense, it really is a map, but only for this mansion. That's what I mean with floor plan. Up to this, you understand?"

"Ohhh ..., why don't Master said you wanted the blueprint of this mansion ..., I can understand if you said it like so."

"Well ..., it seems that you know about it. Then please you go and draw this whole mansion floor plan. Ask the maid or butler Reno to guide you. You have my permission to roam around the room of this mansion."

Hilda took the paper scroll again and nodded her tiny head, "I understand, I'll do as you told to."

"..." Marth just waved his hand, and the painter(slave) girl left the room.
