Chapter 3: Qingshan Town

"Ms. Zoya." Minan called out her name, slightly excited seeing his dream girl alive and breathing but also couldn't hide his fear.

Even standing apart like this and she did nothing but stood there and looked around this forest curiously, he's still overwhelmed by her very presence. There was this aura surrounding her body that made him intimidated.

"So what now?" she acknowledged his presence and stared at him with her sharp eyes.

"I'm Minan, you can call me that." as soon as he said that, the bluish membrane dissipated as the duration of the barrier has ended. "Let's get out of here, I don't want to fight any magic beasts right now. We'll talk on the way."

"Alright, lead the way." Zoya walked beside him with her confidence gait.

Minan walked to random direction, then he stopped and open up his phone. He tapped the Maps application and just as he speculated, it works. The map showed the Dou Qi Continent, instead of Earth. There's even terrain and satellite view.

He zoomed out and found out that he's near a small settlement called Qingshan Town. It was around 29 or so kilometers away from his position. That would be his destination.

Minan never travelled that far of distance by foot, but as an Asian kid he grew up listening to his father story. According to his father, when he go to school he had to climb up hills crossing rivers with one leg, both-ways, fighting two lions along the way, his other leg is starting business.

Anyway, with this new superhuman body he knew that such distance is nothing at all. After all, the distance of Misty Cloud Sect and his current position is hundreds kilometers, and he got here by his own feet.

But still, his lazy af screamed and demanded for luxury. 'Hmmm ..., something that I can use as a transportation.' 

He looked at the games that were installed in this magical phone and shook his head. There's no such thing as mount system in any of them. Pet system exist in Overmortal, Merchant Master, and Game of Khan, but those are useless because his pet in Overmortal hadn't reach full adulthood and cannot be used as mount. As for the two other idle games, they're both useless because the pet is just critter ... at least he only has small animals.

'Seems like we have no other choice than trekking all the way to that town.'

"So, Ms. Zoya ..., what is your last memories before I extracted you here."

"What?" she asked back slightly frowning.

"What's the last thing you did before I extracting you to this world?"

"It was you."

A short answer that made Minan even more confused.

"Me?" he turned to stare at the tall woman, to see that she's dead serious on that answer. "Elaborate, please."

"Isn't it you who came to me and asked whether I want a change of scenery. After that you brought me here."

"Right ..., this might sounds silly question to you, but who am I?"

"MBCC Chief, Amethystore."

'Hmmm ... so in her perception I'm the Chief in the game. How is that possible? Argh, whatever ..., I'm not in any capacity to think about that.' Minan noted down this new piece of information while disregarding the reason. 

"How is your condition? Any discomfort?"

"No, but I'm itching to fight. It's been a long time since I feel this light and unburdened."

"Well, if there's a stray magical beast I'll let you handle it. Oh right, can you use your power?"

"No problem, I'm still in control of it." 

"Then, I'll entrust my safety to you."

"Haha, as you command Chief-san." she chuckled lightly, calling him 'Chief' in playful tone.

Minan opened up his phone and checked his stats while comparing it with Zoya.

Minan knew that the increase in Battle Power was because of the three artifacts he equipped. He was heavily overgeared, but it was fine ... after all, why reject a cheat if presented that he can use it? As long as he could stay alive, anything is permissible.

"Zoya, this is a bit too slow ..., do you mind if we speed up a bit? At this rate, we won't reach the town before dark."

"You go first, I'll catch up after you so I can adapt with your pace."

"... alright then."

'I've been wanting to try this skill anyway.' he used Wanderer's elemental skill.

A burst of wind break out from within and he leaped into the air, anemo elements manifested on his back in the shape of circle similar to Wanderer's sombrero hat. He has entered Windfavored state, and he hovered, passing through the dense forest of this Magic Beast Mountain Range.

"Well, that's new." Zoya muttered shaking her head seeing the incredulous sight of Minan hovering in the air.

His Dou Qi or 'MP' as it listed in his status steadily decrease. It cost 1 MP per second in normal hovering mode, when he wanted to adjust his height, it cost 2 MP per second ..., and when he entered the sprinting or accelerate it cost 4 MP per second.

'Well, I can eat the Meridian Pills along the way to recover my MP.' Minan thought.

He burned his MP and consumed Meridian Pills when he's about to run out of MP. His speed is quite fast, traveling almost 20 meters per second. Even with that speed, Zoya could still catch up with him jogging leisurely. There's no magical beast disturb them along the way so the journey could go without problem, much to Zoya's discontent.

They arrived at Qingshan town in under half an hours, Minan cancelled the Windfavored state outskirt of the town as he didn't want anyone to see him using that. It's a common sense in this world that poeple condense Dou Qi Wing when they reached Dou Wang, and hold themselves in the air without wing at Dou Zong. What he did is similar to what a Dou Zong can do while he's still Dou Zhe, technique like this must be keep a secret unless he's trying to court death.

The town was boisterous full of life, majority of them are mercenaries who hunt magical beast in the mountain range as living. When they entered the town, people were immediately attracted to them. Especially seeing the fancy clothes and the tall beauty behind him, their eyes filled with greed and lust. However, after receiving the intimidating smirk of Zoya, many were frightened and continue with their own business.

Minan approached a middle-aged man who set up a stall on the side of the road. His stall displayed various goods, starting from magical beast leather and pelt, magic cores, and rare herbs.

"I've come to sell this ..., how much would you pay for one?" 

He took out ten Spiritium from his phone inventory. Spiritium is a stone rich with Spiritual Energy with the size of adult thumb, the color is teal blue and it has natural fluorescence. 

"This? Customer, may I ask where did you find this stone?" the merchant looks surprised and then excitedly asked.

"I picked up on my way here." Minan stated, basically telling 'I'm not telling you. "Do you know what these stone is?"

"Hmmm ... I'm not sure, but it's very rich in Dou Qi. I need to bring it to Master Appraiser to know what it actually is. But if you don't want to wait for long, I'll buy it for 200 Gold Coin each."

"Yeah, let's go with that. I'll sell it." 

To Minan, Spiritium is basically an endless resource after all. Getting 2.000 Gold Coin for such worthless resource, seems that the saying is true 'one trash is another treasure.'

"Nice having business with you, Young Master. Here's your money, my name is Jiu Han. If you have more of these stones, please feel free to sell it to me." Jiu Han introduced himself jovially and passed a Black Card that can contain maximum amount of 5.000 Gold Coin.

"So do I, Jiu Han ... do you know where can I find an inn?"

"Yes, go there and you can see big building painted in blue. That is Blue Flowers Hotel. Although, please don't expect high class services like those in the capital, the service is decent enough. Still, this place is a small town in the outskirt after all."

"I see. Thank you. Let's go Zoya."

Zoya silently followed him. Since her extraction, she somewhat didn't talk all that much. He don't know what was in her mind, but her silence is worrying. 

"Innkeeper, I need two rooms with single bed."

"Apologize, Young Master. But we're currently short on rooms. How about one room with double bed? If it's alright with you, the rent price will be 40 Gold Coin per night, if you rent it for a week I'll give you a discount."

"Ms. Zoya, you don't mind with that right?"

"Whatever. It's not like it's the first time, anyway."

"Great, I'll rent for a week." he passed the black card and the innkeeper took some amount from it.

Tall and buffed man with exposed chest walked with few of his people behind him. He wore a long leather pants but his upper left open with only pauldron covering his shoulder. Big greatsword was strapped in his back.

"Hehe, there you are. Woman, leave this inept of a man and follow me back to Wolf Head Mercenary Group. I'll give you all the luxury you want if you agree to become my concubine." Mu Li arrogantly stated.

Minan turned to look at the man with surprised expression, a happy surprise. 'Right, something like this also exist in such unreasonable world. The usual template, a young master who court his own death. Sigh, troublesome.'

"Chief, there's some annoying bugs who think he's human. I can dealt with these pesky things, right?" Zoya asked with a whisper, but still loud enough for other to hear him. 

"Hah, troublesome ..., just don't break furniture or the building. Make it quick." Minan sighed and gave up, letting her do as she wish. 

"Arrogant!"

"Big talk!"

"Hahaha, this brat don't know what he's talking about."

That was Mu Li's henchmen response to his words. Zoya cracked her neck and fingers before pointing at Mu Li.

"You, did you just provoke me?"

"Woman, it is fate for you to capture my attention, I'm the son of the Wolf Head Mercenary Company's head. And this young master fancy your style, follow me and be my concubine. If you satisfy me enough, I'm willing to consider making you my wi-"

BLURCH~!

Blood and brain spurted out. Zoya ended Mu Li's life with a single blow on the head with her metal claw. But before the henchmen could react, they ended up with the same fate as Mu Li. Zoya clawed their head and it easily pierced in as their head was made from tofu dreg.

"You messed with the wrong person." Zoya said as she had maniacal smile on her bloodied face.

Minan winched for a bit seeing this gore, but maybe because of Yue Ming's memory, it was not enough to make him falter or puke his gut out.

"Y-you, don't you know that he's the young master of the Wolf Head Mercenary Company!? They won't let this slide!" the innkeeper stutteringly stated while pointing at Mu Li's dead body.

"Do you know where is this Wolf Head Mercenary Company base?" Zoya asked 

"I-I ..., I, this-"

"Yes or no, answer me!"

"Yes, I know! Please don't kill me."

"Come with me, I'll destroy their base." Zoya said as she walked out with Mu Li's headless body. "Chief, I'm leaving for light stretching."

"Sigh ... fine." Minan didn't followed him and go to his room.

The strongest individual in this small town is only Dou Shi, with her being equivalent to Dou Ling ..., Minan didn't worry that much about her getting hurt. And it was her who said that she was itching for a fight.

Minan never expect that the outcome of Zoya's fight is way different than he originally thought.
