[This is the First Chapter]

My name is Zulfani Iskandar, and currently I was enjoying my long-awaited academic holiday by marathoning anime that I skipped this season.

[The only good thing about this Isekai Cheat is the female characters. And I mean by that is how beautifully drawn they are, still one-dimensional poorly written characters though.]

I let out my complain by tweeting my thought in brain-dead bird apps after finished the last episode of this year Spring anime [I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too].

I checked the clock and it's already 3 am in the morning. As an engineering student, pulling all-nighter is a routine. Whether it's finishing assignment before deadline or just hang out with friends in coffeeshop, I never sleep prior 12 am.

I lazily scrolled the anime streaming website and found in the recommendation a title that feel so nostalgic despite it's only few years ago. It was an isekai anime, [Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody]. It's not the best isekai anime out there, but still, it holds a special place in my heart. 

As a lonely ostracized weeb the only way to killing time quietly was by reading. I have read the webnovel version of [Deathmarch] before the anime got released, and it was one of my favorites because it's an easy level up and heavy wish fulfilment story that I never know I need it.

To think it's already five years since the anime got released. I thought after checking the release date of the anime. 

It's year 2023 and after the global pandemic, people become more open and accepting towards the Japanese pop culture. It's like more people become weebs all of sudden. In one side, it's annoying and weird because the person who used to bully me simply because of the mere fact that I'm a 'weeb' now have anime profile picture in his social media account and posting anything related to anime. But in another side, I also felt grateful because it was not considered weird anymore when talking about anime or manga. And the population of pretty cosplayer has increased a lot these days.

Anyway, that's really unimportant. I just realized how fast time has passed. In a blink of an eyes, five years passed ever since that bleak phase in my life.

"Let's rewatch this ..."

I've decided my next anime that will accompany me until morning come.

But as I watched the first episode, the wave of sleepiness attacked, and I was unable to resist the drowsiness.

In the dark night, even the moon's radiance was obscured by the dark cloud. In one part of the forest, dead bodies lied in pile. The aftermath of the gruesome battle caused the air reeked with blood that it attracts nearby beasts to feast on their flesh.

A light orb travelled faster than light and it found its way on a dead body. At that exact moment, a spark of lighting also strikes that same body. The light orb was the soul from another world who got reincarnated with a cheat. And the spark of lighting is a soul of the deceased Demon Emperor of the past who got reincarnated after destroying the Nine Serenities Secret Records.

One body couldn't hold two souls, especially the one that is fundamentally different. Thus, they were fought over to exterminating the competitor. Alas, while the Demon Emperor has cultivated for millennium and has great soul capacity, it wasn't enough to overthrows the otherworldly cheat system. His soul got treated as viruses and exterminated, while another world soul received massive exp. and loots from the kill. 

With a groan, the young man woke up.

I woke up with a splitting headache. There's also unpleasant odor around me too, it smelt like copper ... no, it's blood.

I looked around to see piles of dead body, and wolves. They're growling and staring at me showing their bloodied muzzle. 

Not sure why I suddenly woke up in this place reeked with blood and a big wolves feast on their flesh. But I'm no dead man, mates. So, stop leering at me as if you want to swallow me. 

"Calm down there you big doggo. No calm downs me."

Oh, a system ... and this is? Satou System?

Satou (Suzuki Ichirou) is the main character in the [Death March]. When he got isekai'd, the cheat that accompanying him is the game system similar with the UI of the MMO game that he's been working on, the cause of his death.

I humbly ignored the pack of wolves and operated the system.

The basic look of the system UI is a [Menu] in the upper right of my vision, [Icon] for 4 in the lower right. I tapped on the Menu, and it popped out smaller tabs: [Info], [Map], [Unit Management], [Storage], [Exchange], [Log], [Status], [Equipment], [Magic], and lastly [Skill].

I checked on my Status first to see my pathetic reincarnated self.

Surprisingly ..., I'm a bigshot. From where did I get those absurd level up, though?

I checked the log and there's something like [Exterminated the Soul of Ancient Demon Emperor] which grant me that massive level up along with some loots.

I checked on this power by punching the tree beside me. It caused a blast, and the stump was like getting shot by a cannonball. The wolves also got scared shitless as they ran with tail tugged between in their legs.

Next, I checked the [Skill] tabs to see what was there. The skills listed in this menu are: [Meditation], [Kungfu Mastery], [Sword Mastery], [Protect], [Cleaning], [Calligraphy], [Management], [Arithmetic], [Washing], [Sweeping], and the recently acquired skills [Unflinching], [Cannon Punch], and [Intimidation].

I max leveled all combat related skills with Arithmetic and Management because I thought it would be useful in the future. I have plenty of the Skill Points anyway.

"He-help me ..." I heard a cough and cry of help.

Running toward the source I saw an injured middle-aged guard with bald head, oh I also acquired [Sprint] skill.

"Are you alright?" 

"Argghhh ... Zhuo Fan, please save me!"

He was injured pretty bad, his left arm was gone while there's a gruesome wound on his thigh, revealing some of its white bone. I never witnessed gore with my own eyes but strangely, I'm not panicked. Perhaps it's the [Unflinching] taking effect.

"Let me close the wound to stop the bleeding first."

I tore the man robe and used it as a bandage closing the wound. I received [Bandaging] and upped it to the max before redoing it. The bleeding stopped and saw his [Bleeding] status got removed and his Health gradually recovered. 

"Ming Du, rest for now. I'll watch out for you." I said after learning his name through seeing his status.

"Many thanks, Zhuo Fan." the middle-aged guard immediately fell asleep. 

Now that I think about ... I know something about this world. It's that manhua, right? That one with thousand years old Demon Emperor got reincarnated into a servant of a clan. The Steward Magic Emperor or something. This world has a lot of waifus ..., yet the MC never touch any of them until thousands of chapters. Perhaps because the original MC is a thousand-year-old virgin Magic Emperor that he deemed having spouse is beneath his standing.

Let's move on ... I auto looted the corpses in the vicinity and checked my Storage. Aside from the armor and weapon that I just looted, there's also [Nine Serenities Secret Record] which glowing with golden light. 

I opened the book and acquired the skill: [Heavenly Great Demon Transformation Art], [Body Refining Art], [Touch of Heaven and Earth], [Yin Fiend Array], [Wraith Style Martial Art], [Mystifying Phantom Steps], [Divine Eye of the Void], and [Mind Rebirth Method]

I leveled up the first skill, HGDTA. But unlike my assumption that I will gain leap in my cultivation ... I just feel like the effect of the skill become more efficient.

I checked the skill description to know what the change between level 1 to 10.

[Heavenly Great Demon Transformation Art—Lvl.10] (Active/Toggle)

Description: The strongest Cultivation Technique in the Nine Serenities Scriptures, it requires that the cultivator begin with a Pure Body, devoid of any other cultivation arts. Absorb spiritual energy around them, and the cultivation of other cultivators along with their essence to further his own.

Effect: Gain +100x(2,000% of PER)^n Cultivation level of Cultivation Point every second when using the technique. Gain +125x(500% of VIT and HP) Cultivation Point from the enemy when using Drain Touch.

I see now, so the increase is based on its percentage. But gaining 20 times of my perception every second, and my perception is maxed. Damn, makes me want to try it immediately.

I hurriedly sat down cross-legged and used the art, but I felt so stupid for doing that. I can just turn the toggle on and cultivate this technique passively.

I checked for the other techniques. [Body Refining Art] is the ultimate chimera technique that Shou Tucker could ever dream off. It could implant other beast appendage or organ into own body and gain their strength. The philosophy behind this technique is that to refine chosen materials and transform one's flesh into the material. Using own body as a medium in refining it just like a Demonic Treasure.

[Touch of Heaven and Earth] is an Alchemy skill. It said it was one of the best alchemy refining techniques with great efficiency. [Yin Fiend Array] is an array technique with lots of use, it is capable of offensive, defense, and also for support purpose. [Wraith Style Martial Art] is a martial art with focus on using Yin energy.

The rest is movement skill, ocular skill, and the last one is the skill that caused the Demon Emperor reincarnation.

Of course, I'll max level up them all. 

When cultivating the HGDTA, I also acquired [Qi Absorption], and [Qi Manipulation]. It only few minutes and have thousands of Cultivation Points which I can use to upgrade my Cultivation level. 

The Cultivation is entirely independent and different system from the Satou System. It's not recognized as skill and when I breakthrough to a new realm or level in cultivation it was registered under the [Title] tab.

Only few minutes has passed after activating this skill and when I put all of the CP into my cultivation, I already reached 7th Layer of Foundation Building realm. Max Level HGDTA is scary.

I tried getting other skill, like for example sticking my feet on tree using qi ... copying from anime Naruto, I acquired skill [Sticky Feet]. Using the same principle and coating my sole with Qi and then tried walking in a puddle I got [Waterwalking]. Airwalking, flight or something similar might have to wait though.

I practiced more, swinging the weapon that I looted from the fallen guards I got [Spear Mastery], [Hammer Mastery], [Axe Mastery], [Archery] and [Dagger Mastery]. Throwing knifes and needle I got [Throwing] and [Lethal Shot].

Done with playing the weapon, I used the All-Map Exploration and found few red dots chasing after blue dots with few unlit grey dots. Well, they're still far away so let's just take it slow. I also used the Filter function on the map and filter out for herbs. 

I harvested the herb with healing and antibiotic properties and make a pill using [Touch of Heaven and Earth].

Skill [Pill Making] Acquired.

It's not alchemy? Oh well, that's fine as well. The product is [Total Rejuvenation Pill], it could fully recover HP and cure almost every external injuries and some common injury.

Hmmm ... but I'm curious what if I don't use this, Alchemy Skill? What if I just extract the plants and refine it chemically? Let's try it when I had the time. For now, this much is more than enough. 

Morning came and Ming Du woke up.

"Here, drink this ..." I passed him the pill and it miraculously take effect. It can't regrow lost limb, but the huge gash in his thigh is recovering really fast.

"Such potent pill, is this an immortal pill? Zhuo Fan, where did you get this pill?"

"Don't ask too much. If you can stand up and walk let's hurry regroup with Young Miss." I passed him a peach that I picked along the way.

"Yes, wait for a bit."

Why in the world I want to regroup with the Young Miss? Well, Luo Yunchang is a beauty on her own.

Yep, weebs if not depressed then they're undoubtedly a pervert. And I'm somewhat both.
