A step closer to truth

Rain poured as Udo held his sword in his left hand. "Never fought anyone with one arm left before! I'll give it a try I guess." Udo yawned.

"Do you feel pain?" Juliana asked him. Udo turned his attention to Juliana with an blank expression on his face. "Pain? Pain doesn't exist when your born here or faced the opponents we have!" Udo said as he put his second sword in his mouth.

This man is still going yo fight!? I cut his arm off and he still-no, Joseph was right! You…you really are a monster, Udo! Juliana thought as she took off her cape, revealing her massive body and battle scars.

"Do you have any idea at all what your messing with, Udo!?" She laughed.

"Enough talk. You said something about a king? We don't have a king, so what the hell are you saying?" Udo asked.

"You didn't hear? The leaders wanna elect a king of the island! Not that you'll be around."

Juliana threw herself at Udo, creating a giant crater in the process. Udo jumped back and studied the situation immediately.

Jades knocked out. I don't see how, I guess I pushed her too hard. So backup won't come. So…I have no choice but to fight this woman.

Udo blinked his eyes and sent Juliana into the air with the force he used to blink. "He blinked!? He's eyes are that powerful? Amazing, Udo!" Juliana laughed as she threw a punch in air.

"Why punch in air? It's not like your gonna-"

Udo felt a sharp pain in his stomach, as he hit a nearby tree. "Traveling air punches. Ok, so, how do I block that? I can't see the damn-wait…I get it now." Udo laughed as he jumped up and grabbed Juliana by the face and dragged her across the ground. He threw her into a nearby hill.

Dust covered the area as Udo witnessed Juliana emerge from the from the dust without a single scratch.

"This island is huge! The fact you jumped from the mountain from here is insane…what the hell are you?" Udo asked.

"What am I? What are you!? You noticed me looking at you from up there, that's pretty impressive!" Juliana said.

Juliana and Udo didn't move a muscle, they both stared at each other with hostility in their eyes.

Juliana stomped her feet, making the ground beneath the two of them crack. Lava shot out everywhere as she stood in the middle.

"Lava doesn't hurt her?" Udo spit his sword out towards Juliana. Juliana caught the sword but realized Udo had disappeared.

Juliana turned around and seen Udo charging aura in his hand. "Hey, hey, hey, why the hell are you-"

"Die." Udo shot a powerful beam of light from hand.

Juliana tried to move but couldn't as her foot was stabbed with Udo's second sword. "The first sword was just a distraction!? I get it now! He threw it when I caught the first one…giving him time to charge up his little attack! Now…I can't run!"

Juliana stared at the beam as it made impact, creating a huge explosion that caught the eyes of others in the Kani clan.

Crystal stood over Aubrie. Aubrie was losing blood fast. "What will you do, Colt? Will you sit here and do nothing? Save her life!?"

Colt snapped out of it and quickly put his hands around Aubrie's neck. Crystal stared with curiosity as a unique, yet naruto duo green aura surrounded Colt's body.

Aubrie's wounds were healed and Colt fell back from exhaustion. Aubrie ran over to Colt. "Are you okay!? Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"It's time to play another round." Crystal said as she kept looking at Colt.

A drop of sweat came from Crystal. She quickly wiped it away.

"No…this time…we'll win, Aubrie." Colt encouraged.

Before Crystal could pull out the pack of cards. A woman's voice was heard.

Aubrie quickly grabbed Colt and ran as fast as she could, away from Crystal. "Is anyone there?" The woman called out from the blue trees.

"Over here!? We need help!" Aubrie jumped from a crowd of bushes and was face to face with a woman. She had red eyes, with black hair, and wore a dress with ancient symbols and patterns.

"Y-you have to help us! We're being chased!" Colt explained as he tried to pull the woman.

"Now,now, you kids need to calm down. There's nobody here." The woman laughed.

Wait…we're not home…anymore. This is a world we aren't used to. So…this woman is-Aubrie stopped thinking as Crystal slowly walked towards the woman.

"These the brats you snatched away?" The woman laughed.

"You would've done better, Amethyst?"

"Of course! But…you did good." Amethyst said as she hugged Crystal.

"Did Gem already start" Crystal asked.

"Yes. He left not too long after you did. He'll go tell the betas that their time has come!" Amethyst explained.

Crystal turned her attention to Colt again. "You two will be the sacrifice for him also." Crystal laughed.

"Your going to kill us!? But…we've done everything! We didn't even-"

"Shut up, Colt." Aubrie whispered.

Wind blew as silence fell upon the four people. "You two…Aubrie is 13 and Colt is 14. I remember reading it in the files that the woman had."

Aubrie froze. "Wait…the woman-"

"I killed her. It was…all me, Aubrie." Crystal said.

"Why….why would you-"

"Here's a little lesson for the both of you! Sometimes the person you trust is the person who's holding the gun. You remember that." Crystal said.

"You cruel bastard! Why us!? What makes us so important!?" Aubrie asked.

"Your not important, Aubrie. The one with the most potential out of everyone in that clan…is you, Colt." Crystal said as she looked at him with her sharp-blue eyes.

"Me? What are you talking about? I-"

"Children are the most precious. Their minds are fresh and your views of the world can easily be altered from one's beliefs. For example: if I were to tell you since you were a baby to fear and hate mythical beast…you'd grow up to think we aren't real and that if we are, we're all evil! Right?" Crystal asked.

Aubrie and Colt said nothing. "By the way….we need the king now more than ever. The bones in that little sealing…were fake."

Aubrie's eyes grew wide. "Fake?!" She screamed.

"Yes….a fake. I've studied the human body well…our bodies are similar in a way. I could tell how fake it was…which is why I cried. Because I knew at that moment my king's greatest enemy is still breathing." Crystal sighed.

Udo breathed heavily. He picked up Jade and began walking towards the Kani clan. "The fun is just beginning! You can't leave me, Udo." Juliana screamed.

"How are you still alive?" Udo asked.

"I can heal at the speed of light! Nothing can harm me! And best part, I'm about to unleash my true nature!"

"Yeah, me too." Udo said as he used both of his hands and clapped them together.

Juliana was pushed away with terrifying aura. "What is this? He healed his other arm? No, this man isn't even trying!"

Udo put Jade on the ground and rolled his eyes. "I thought you'd be strong."

Suddenly, yellow aura surrounded Juliana's body. "I'll kill you!" He screamed.

This power was enough to make even Udo jump back. "What is this?" He asked as Juliana's body grew in size.

"Primal instinct….unleashed!"

Udo stared in shock as her aura changed to a dark-sinister red. "I knew it. Our guide…isn't what we think it is!" Udo whispered.

"Time to die, Udo!" Juliana laughed as she kept growing. Her hair was longer, her dress ripped, her ears grew in size, and her teeth were sharp just like a shark.

"Ready!?" She screamed.

She jumped high in the air. Juliana punched the ground, creating another explosion from her punch.

The whole area was destroyed and lava shot everywhere. Udo had clapped his hands and teleported to a nearby mountain.

"Fine. I'll play…just one percent of my true power, Juliana." Udo whispered as he floated above in the sky.

"Fight me like a man!" She screamed as she looked up and noticed Udo in the sky. "This is one of my abilities! So…your honored I chose you too kill." Udo said as he pointed up at the sun.

"Ra the sun God's judgement….death." The sun grew bigger in size as a piece of it floated towards Udo's hand raised in the air.

"What is this? This…feeling?"

For the first time in her short life, Juliana had finally…felt fear. "We were right about him! This man is….unbeatable! This attack will even while out….half of the universe if he wanted to fully charge it! Someone like me…he-he made me look so weak. But, I'm a…god-level threat! How could…..what is he?"

"Fall." Udo whispered as he threw the glowing ball directly towards Juliana. Juliana stuck out her hand and tried to catch the ball of light.

At first she caught it with ease…but heat quickly spreader throughout her body as she let out horrific screams from the burning pain.

Udo slowly picked up both his swords and walked off. "I thought this fight was gonna be good. Waste of my damn time." He snarled as an explosion, the size of a nuke went off.

Joseph stared down at the explosion from the great mountains. "You would not listen. Now Udo suspects us to be the enemy, you damn fool!" He yelled in anger.

Jade and Xavier ran to the gates of the clan. Udo walked with Jade in his arms. "What happened!?" Jade asked.

"This whole thing is coming down. We don't have time left!" Udo yelled.

"Captain, calm down. Talk to us." Xavier pleaded.

Udo grabbed Xavier by the shirt and pulled him in close. "Get Jerome, tell him to warn the others about the higher-ups and the new law! We need as many allies as possible! I-no…we were all wrong!"

"Udo….what are you-"

"I'm saying….they aren't Akies, They're not the same as us! These things ruled over us and we didn't even know it! Warn other clans immediately! I want a captain meeting at once…and finally….Jade."

"Yes?"

"We need….the second strongest."
