Chapter 12

　　Lorena POV

　　I sat in the passenger seat of the Mercedes, absentmindedly gripping the seatbelt strap, watching as Shana stood outside the car and exchanged a few words with Erik, their expressions somewhat subtle. Shortly after, Shana bid farewell to him and returned to the car.

　　"What's wrong?" I asked casually, thinking that now they were practically family, there shouldn't be any major issues.

　　"Nothing, just met a few times before, just chatted with him," Shana said, starting the car and looking at the road to drive out, "But what about you? What's up with dinner today?"

　　"What about me?"

　　"You asked me? What's going on between you and Seth? Both of you seem distracted and at odds with each other."

　　"Is that so? I don't think I said anything, besides, isn't it good that he's rekindling the past?" I said, looking out the window, feeling a mix of emotions.
