Defection

The German army soon arrived at the military base.

The snipers shot down a few but there were too many for their small group to shoot down all.A high majority of German troops made land fall.

Luckily the military base was not near any bodies of water so there weren't gonna be any German naval support to deal with.But soon the moment the first German troop lands on the ground...

The fire fight began.Everyone tried to take cover.Commander Ford was taking down a high majority of German troops with his rail gun but because of the high energy output of the rail gun it quickly overheated.

One hour of fighting had passed only Commander Ford,Captain Cody, Commander Rex and a handful of troops were still standing.

Suddenly bullets from behind them went flying by killing a few of the Germans.

Captain Cody with a sound of glee in his voice said.

"The cavalry has arrived!"

But within the heat of the moment,Commander Ford aimed his rail gun at the American backup and fired.

Two American mechs were destroyed by the rail gun.Commander Rex grabbed Commander Ford rail gun and shouted over the radio.

"What are you doing Ford!"

Commander Ford simply punched Commander Rex and pulled out his pistol and aimed it at Captain Cody.

"Don't move any closer Cody,otherwise your gonna be visiting your mother in a few seconds."

Commander Rex got his mech to get up but Ford simply kicked him back down.

Commander Ford started laughing.

"You know,I love war,war is practically my life!"

Commander Rex had his mech pull out its own pistol.

Commander Ford continued.

"War isn't practically my life,it IS my life!"

Commander Ford radar detects American troops arriving.

Commander Ford slams his mech feet onto Commander Rex mech chest and kicked him away,he would follow it up by shooting Captain Cody mech left knee,disabling the mech.

Commander Ford would pick back up his rail gun and let it charge up a shot.

But turned around again to shoot at the troops which weren't part of his platoon.

Commander Ford commanded his platoon to shoot at the Americans on the way and to kill the cadets.

One of Ford platoon members aimed his rifle at the cadets who began spreading out trying to escape the bullet.

When suddenly a engine started revving up with it being followed up by the sound of rockets.

Captain Cody using the rocket repulsion backpack on his mech sent his mech forward and took the bullet on the mechs back.

But he would also grab the soldier leg and make him trip and then pulling out his pistol and slid it across to his other hand which would grab it and shot the spot on the mech where the sun doesn't shine.

The bullet would eventually get into the soldier cockpit killing the soldier.

Captain Cody quickly had his mech lift itself up using its arms opened his own cockpit to quickly get out.

He would take out his communicator to announce to the American military.

"Commander Ford,he is a German defector I believe he sold out the military base position and called in the Germans to eradicate the program."

After the message was relayed towards the American backup troops the American backup held their position and began sniping rather then going straight in to attack head on.

Ford platoon was still rushing towards the American backup but they were being picked off one by one,Ford noticed this and has his mech swerve at high speeds to make his movements unpredictable.

The German troops were looking around for any survivors meanwhile the cadets along with Captain Cody were able to escape.Commander Rex was unfortunately killed in battle after Commander Ford had his mech slammed down its foot into Commander Rex mech cockpit squashing Rex.

The battle was raging on meanwhile the cadets with Captain Cody simply hid behind nearby debris and Captain Cody would call for a evacuation vehicle.

Ford managed to make it to the American back ups front line and began fighting them with his fist and pistol rather then his rail gun.

The sound of metal hitting it each other could be heard from miles away.The American backups on the nearby mountain began shooting rockets at Ford and his platoon.

Many American troops were caught up in the crossfire.

But soon the Germans began assisting Ford,the German mechs were severely outperforming the Americans and to the Americans point of view the Germans were like a semi blur to them.

Bullets flew in the sky and eventually a cargo chopper soon arrived having to fly through the battlefield.

The cargo chopper landed in front of the cadets and Captain Cody and they rushed for the chopper.

They managed to board the chopper and flew away,meanwhile the U.S military issued a retreat as it wasn't worth it to fight to try and reclaim that base.

Tyler and John were sweating after that incident.Tyler since now he had a break from all the action simply passed out from exhaustion.

John woke up Tyler and they had just landed in a military base in California.Captain Cody got off the chopper and saluted towards Lieutenant George.

Lieutenant George would salute back and say.

"Sad to hear about the defection,but we need to leave the past behind to push forward,your the future of the American military and now that your all here your training will continue here in California."

Both of them would stop saluting as the cadets got out of the chopper.

Tyler thought to himself.

"Why would Commander Ford betray us like that,is John "Joker" Johannes also a German spy,who else could also be a German spy!"
