Chapter 14 I Will Not Bow

Iris and Levi burst through the doors with bloody swords in their hands,

"Captain Levi, Captain Wit, quickly get my wife and daughter out of here" King James shouted. Iris and Levi were about to move forward but the two guards behind the door blocked them.

"STOP…." Queen Marian yelled with tears in her eyes "I surrender, please stop all this bloodshed it's not right it's all just pointless, please " she fell to her knees and started sobbing,

"Marian,." King James called "MARIAN GET UP" he yelled.

"Mother" Princess Kara called crying, she was about to run to meet her mother but king James yelled,

"Get behind me Kara" and she slowly moved behind her father.

King Festus sighed and made a hand gesture toward his guards and the two by the throne started moving,

"FIGHT ME YOURSELF YOU COWARD, YOU BACKSTABBER FIGHT ME YOURSELF" King James shouted. King Festus sighed and stopped the guards from moving,

"Come help me take off my armour, I at least owe you this " the guards helped him take off his armour, and he was wearing a normal white shirt underneath. He held his sword tightly and started walking towards king James.

"Captain Wit, captain Levi" King James said "Whatever happens, protect my daughter, that is my last order to you as your king." When king Festus was a few feet away from king James he gestured to him to come as he took a stance. The guard whose arm was cut off, had either fainted or died from blood loss on the ground behind king James while Princess Kara was sobbing as she backed into a corner and Queen Marian crawled towards the throne to get away from the fight that was about to happen.

King James knew he didn't stand a chance, but he still went in for a swing, but every swing was blocked, he tried and tried but every time his swing was easily parried, after one last parry king Festus sighed and took a step back and said

"My turn."

Iris Wit Chapter 20

"My turn" King Festus said and went in for a strike.

"This is not going to end well.." Levi said to Iris,

"What can we do?" Iris asked, but then one of the two guards in front of them turned to face them and said "don't even think of interfering," then he turned back to watch the fight between the two kings. King James already has cuts on his body and was almost on his knees,

"Father., " Princess Kara yelled,

"Stay back dear, this old man still has some fight left on him" he said as he struggled to stand up,

"Let me end this," King Festus said and went in for another strike but king James rolled away avoiding the sword strike.

Meanwhile Iris put his left hand behind his back and a small dagger appeared on his hand from the storage ring on his index finger. Levi noticed this and nodded at Iris.

He looked towards the two guards close to the throne, and he softly said,

" kill" and the dagger flew from his hand faster than the normal human could react and struck one of the guards in his neck. The guard tried to scream as he held his neck but he couldn't, and before the guard could fall down, Iris not wasting time, looked towards the other guard and said, "kill" the the dagger left the guard's neck as he collapsed and struck the other guard in his neck, the two guards in front of them heard 'thud', the sound of bodies dropping, and before they could react, they were impaled through their necks by Iris and levi.

Iris ran towards the Princess and levi ran towards the Queen, king Festus saw this and yelled "Guards", then he looked around and saw his men, dead on the ground around him, Iris and levi ran through the doors and into the hallway.

King Festus was about to give Chase but, taking advantage of the distraction king James went in for a strike but king Festus quickly regained his composure and easily parried it, he kicked king James to the ground, and stabbed him through the heart.

"Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrgggg" King Festus shouted, do fell to his knees.

Iris Wit Chapter 21

Iris and Levi started running along with the Queen and princess down the hallway, and as they got to the doors they stopped running. The two guards they met earlier were there, Levi was about to go forward but Iris held him back as he retrieved his dagger. He looked towards the guards and the dagger flew from his hand and struck the first guard in his neck from behind. The guard grabbed his neck as he bled and dropped dead, and before the other guard could do anything, he grabbed his own neck and dropped dead.

They ran back into the hallway and told the Queen and princess to come with them. As they ran down the stairs past the guards that were on the floor, the Queen stopped running, she went down and pulled out one of the dead guards' swords from its scabbard. Iris and Levi stopped and looked behind only to see the Queen pointing the sharp end of the sword toward her abdomen.

"Mother please don't" Princess Kara cried "please don't leave too"

"Your majesty listen to your daughter and put the sword down, we can escape from here okay" Levi tried to reason with her,

"I can't, I, I just can't anymore," Queen Marian said

"Your majesty, listen, please.... " Levi called,

"At least I'll be with my husband now" the Queen smiled with tears falling down her eyes then she thrust the sword into her belly, and fell down leaving Iris Levi and the Princess dumbstruck.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarŕrŕrrrrrgh" Princess Kara screamed, as she ran towards her dead mother on the floor,

"No no no no, you'll alert the other guards Princess we have to go," Levi said and ran to the Princess covering her mouth with his hand.

Thankfully there were no people around the area that led to the palace at this time because of the lock down.

"Levi come on, we have to go." Iris said with worry,

"We can't leave her here" levi responded, then struck the Princess with the Base hilt of his sword and knocked her out.

He grabbed her and put her over his shoulder.
