THE REASON

I was about to lose consciousness when someone wrapped a hand on my waist. I then feel my body stumbled on the floor with that someone. I can hardly breathe that my eyes blurred by tears. The voice, even it's just for seconds, it's too powerful and I feel like it's squeezing my brain.

"Athe.. Breathe! Yohan breathe! Damn it!" Finally, I heard that different voice.

It's not the same voice that talked inside my brain. It's sounds comforting as well as sweet but a lil bit angry? I raised my head and look to the voice owner.

"What happened?! Why didn't you move when the mana suddenly burst from stone?!" Jevro is asking me with worries.

Hold on, the stone released its mana? Then, they didn't hear what I just heard?

"What do you mean the stone released its mana?" I asked while still in the same position.

Jevro just let out a frustrated sigh before he glance at Alfonso who is now checking the stone with device on his hand. If I'm not mistaken, that thing is the device that can detect mana from the stone. Although the stone is not that big, it's size is also not small. It's size is comparable to the mug. But it's power could not be calculated.

"Everytime that the stone released its mana, another person can possibly awakened. Actually, it always happened twice a week. Let's wait to Alfonso to finish his checking the stone." Jevro explained to me.

I, on the other hand, just nodded my head and once again look at the stone. The voice disappeared and the my chest feels lighter. I turned to look at Jevro who still hugging me while we're on the floor. He's actually behind me with his hands wrapping on my waist.

"Jevro, when you used this evaluation room, did you encounter something during the process?" I can't mention the voice I heard.

He look at me and perhaps he also noticed our position because he slowly withdraw himself before answering me.

"No. The stone didn't release it's mana that time. So this situation didn't happen to me. How's your feeling?"

He supported me while standing and we walk towards Alfonso.

"Am good. Thanks for your action, I didn't receive any damage."

It seems like, they didn't hear that mysterious voice. Then it means, I'm the only one who it spoke with. Then, my question is, who is the owner of that voice, and why did he tell me that?

There's a lot of thoughts encircling inside my head right now. And the first one is, the one who gave this stone was the one who owns that voice. And the reason why he gave this to us is because, there is something that is happening in the earth which shouldn't be happening.

Maybe the balance has been broken due to the core of evil that the voice just mentioned. But how the fuck can I find it? And what about the sacrifice?! Who should I sacrifice?!

"I'm sorry about your experience, Yohan. Don't worry, it's okay now. I forgot to tell you that the stone always released its mana to awaken other person. Please don't be scared." Alfonso said while tapping my shoulder.

The mana burst that he is mentioning is not scary as the voice I heard. And I can see that this two people is trustworthy, maybe I should tell them what I heard.

"Actually, I heard a voice a while ago." When I said that, the two in front of me paused.

They are looking at me seriously. Jevro furrowed his brows as he takes step closer to me. He then raised his hands and slowly removed my face mask. But with my reflexes, I immediately blocked his hands. I hold his hand tightly as I look at Alfonso seriously.

"The reason why I was shocked a while ago, was not because of the mana burst that you guys mentioned. I heard a deep male voice talking to me inside my brain, telling me to find the core of this monsters sudden appearance. I honestly can't understand his words so please, let me use the stone once again."

Alfonso and Jevro are stunned. I know they're not believing me because even myself, can't believe it. But I have to be sure.

"Believe me or not, I'm telling the truth. And I hope, you guys hide this information from others. According to the voice I heard, the safety of the human race is in danger. And I have to find that core. But since I don't know what that means, I need to talk to that voice one more time. So please, let me do it." I said using my serious tone of voice.

I know it's unbelievable but I have to push it. And I hope that voice also tell me about the sacrifice that he just mentioned.

"Then, are you saying that the mana burst is not the burst that is normally happening? And please let go of my hand now." Jevro said as he tried to withdraw his hand from me.

I released it and apologize to him as I nodded my head. "I'm not sure, but if that happens again, please don't forcefully removed me from the mark." I told them as I glance at the stone.

Alfonso remains silent and just keep listening to me. Jevro is also looking at me with mixed emotions on his eyes. I let out a sigh and tap Alfonso's shoulder. I then walk towards the mark again without his approval. Jevro open his mouth to surely stop me but he chose to be quiet and just watch me stepped on the mark.

Once again, I flinches when my brain suddenly feels being squeezed. But I keep my composure as I tightly clenched my two fists. I have to endure it and I have to find out the truth.

"My child, I'm so happy that you once again tried to hear me out. I know there's a lot of questions you wanted to ask but let me..."

" If you want me to hear your words, stop squeezing my brain! Goddammit!" I can't take it anymore. His power is killing me!

"Ah? Oh! I'm sorry about that. Fufufu..." The voice said.

He even have a guys to laugh even I now feeling my nose bleeding! Alfonso and Jevro both take a step forward to get me out of here but I move my hand to give them a stop sign. They both stopped approaching me although they both look so worried.

Unbelievably, the squeezing suddenly disappeared and feel lighter now. I now feeling great and my body feels great. I don't know what this voice owner did toe but thanks to him. I'm feeling great.

"Thanks to that. Now, let's hear your words." I said while wiping the blood off my nose. "Wait, why am I the only one who you speak with? Can you at least give me a companion?!"

"Ahw.. Right! It's my fault again. Wait a moment, I find another..."

"No need, I found one." I once again interrupted him. The voice owner sounds desperate. Perhaps that is the reason why he is not angry with me even I'm acting like this. "Jevro, come here.." I called Jevro.

He flinches as he blink several times and look at Alfonso before he gets near me. "Why?" He asked.

"Step on the mark. The voice wants to talk to you too." I said.

"I didn't want to talk to him! You're the one who insisted that!" The voice is now sounds irritated.

I smirked and scratch my head. "As if I can do your will alone. Of course I need a comrade." I answered.

Jevro stepped on the mark and he suddenly grip my arms as he gasped. This reaction is telling me, that the voice owner is making fun of Jevro.

"Stop it! I won't do your request if you don't stop. Trust me." I said.

I feel Jevro's gripping loosened. He is now breathing comfortably besides me. And the voice once again make a noise as if it's clearing it's throat.

"Hmmm.. The boy that you've choose, why does he have something which entangled with you?" The voice said.

Jevro and I both frowned and also tilted our heads as we both look at each other. He looks surprised now that he can hear the voice. I'm sure he's believing me now. But, what's that thing that the voice just mentioned?

"What do you mean by that?" Jevro finally speak.

"Fufufu.. I won't tell you both. By the way, listen carefully. Your world is currently in danger." Me and Jevro both flinches when we heard that. "The traitor sent it's subordinates to create monsters to destroy human in your planet. It's mission is to eliminate all humans and fully occupied the earth. That is the reason why I sent my precious stones to help you humans. My will is for you two to find that subordinates, and kill them. By then, your people will be safe again."

A long silence deafening everyone inside the evaluation room. Especially me and Jevro. We are not in the world of fantasy novel right? Or maybe in a fantasy game? Damn!

"That subordinates planted it's dark mana to every human to turned them into monsters. So if you want to save the world, destroy the core and win the battle against that evil." The voice once again said but we remains quiet.

There's only one thought right ringing in my head. The Redo, is the black mana that planted by that evil subordinates. It means, there's a way to remove it from us?
