Ramon wrapped his arms around her in a hug, just as Aiden was doing with Lauren. For her part Cadence hugged him back, glad for the gesture of comfort, Ayana cleared her throat and offered the two an apologetic smile. "Sorry to disturb you, but Whitfield thinks it might be a good idea to wrap things up here. You should talk to her, Mifa."
"I'm not sure she'll want to talk to me. She did just see me wield the knife that got his blood everywhere," Mifa replied.
"Make her listen. Then we'll have to go to Aiden tonight too. And then there's the paperwork," Ayana added.
"God forbid we forget the paperwork," Mifa said with a sigh and a roll of her eyes.
She detached herself from Ramon and moved over to Lauren where she sat on the debris-strewn floor with Aiden. Derrick was quietly beginning the job of packing up. Mifa reached out and touched Lauren on the arm.
